I’m that one person, lost my husband to cancer, I had stopped baking unless my children were coming to visit due to having to prepare such large batches. I made myself your your texas cake for 2 and ate it myself😂. Thank you for the smaller sizes that I can keep baking!

Aloha, I am that one person also. My sweetie passed to the other side 15 months ago. Still trying to cook meals for one. I can’t believe today at the market, I bought ONE potato. I almost bought a 5 pound bag as usual in the past, but then I know I would be forced to eat that much or cook and be giving the extras away. Thank you Mrs. brown for these smaller sized recipes that make it feel okay to “cook” for myself and not just throw something together and make-do. I really appreciate it. ♥️

I’m a widow of five years now, and I admit my cooking has become sparse and boring; my baking pretty much non existent. Thank you Miss Lori for showing me I can still have good meals, and the baked goods I’ve been missing. Cooking for two is perfect. I can have two tasty meals in a row and only cook once. That’s a treat in and of itself. Thank you again.

Whippoorwill brings back memories of when I was a child. We used to sit outside and listen to the Whippoorwill. And we went camping a lot and it would be whippoorwills and crickets every night pretty much. Those were fun days. You don’t ever hear that in the city. ❤

Finishing with the sounds of the whippoorwills in the hills of Arkansas, I couldn't help but relax. Thanks for the recipes for two! My husband and I don’t need the big batches I usually make. I made some cinnamon rolls a few days ago and ended up giving half of the batch away so they wouldn’t get stale. You either have a wonderful place to grow a garden or you have an amazing green thumb! Everything is so picture perfect. Here in SW Idaho we have had so much cold and strong wind, I haven’t even got my cool weather veggies in. We are a month behind. All my apricots got froze last week. Now it’s supposed to be 89* in a couple days, crazy! I don’t know whether to plant out my broccoli and lettuce and spinach or not. That was smart of Mr Brown to take the mullein and walk, I’m impressed. He’s right, those hospitals are dangerous anymore. I have heart and lung damage from the big C, so I have started walking myself. Thanks for the whippoorwill calls, I had never heard one before.

I do make my own bread, but often would love to have a couple of rolls for my supper so am appreciative that you shared a recipe to make just 4 rolls. I will be trying my hand at that soon! Might be something for you to consider: a cook book for small recipes suitable for one or two people. There are quite a number of us out there. lol I remember growing up and going out to the garden and picking a sweet type pea and being able to eat the whole thing right from the vine, pod and all. What a beautiful video! I so enjoyed seeing how your garden is doing so well. Everything is beautiful. Your flowers with all the varieties and colors as well as your vegetables! Everything is doing well, and begging for space to climb higher! Less I not forget your 4 beautiful hot rolls. I imagine them making even the simplest dinner extra special! I could enjoy a nice warm roll with honey and butter for my desert. Thank you for making Friday evening special!

Im enjoying your cook for two recipes. Perfect for my son and myself. I could so easily see sitting outside, even with a jacket on, and sip a coffee and listen quietly the whole evening till bedtime. So peaceful. Just watching your video brought my stress level waaaay low. God bless you. Shirley.
