0:48 ---> 1:05 I've been looking for this bit of information, presented this way and this simply for quite a long time. Out from the intake manifold, into the heater core, out of the heater core into the Nub on top of the water pump. (SBC) That Nub on top of the water pump is a sucker. THANKS !! Everyone else gives a complicated confusing description

He Brother. You are a great friend to help me out with all of my issues. A couple of my other KZfaq friends messaged me on this matter as well. Bubba, over at TheCanadianBubba site and Ron over at Ron'sGarage have eagle eyes. They saw a threaded hole in my last video that I will use for my heater. It is tucked between the alternator and the thermostat housing and behind the alternator bracket. I really thank you for going through all the time and effort to help me out. Don't stop. I'm not done your Automotive classes. Keep on A Rock'n an A Roll'n.👍👍

Took me longer to run to three different parts store because they didn't have the threaded fittings then it did to install the heater! Went with the jegs 40000 btu unit and it cranks. The truck is a Frankenstein, 98 Hummer H1 body with a 89 chevy 2500 chassis. Heat was completely delete by the original builder and the old heater core lines weren't there. Once I saw this video it was a piece of cake! I liked and subscribed man thanks again!

Hey ZIGgassedUp. I am really new at this. I am retired and want something to do, so I bought an old truck to fix up and I was way over my head. I am having tons of fun and met lots of nice people through KZfaq that are more than happy to help me with my build. Pat is my main mentor and saviour with this. Drop around to the Dog House and see how he is helping me. 👍👍

Nope. 5/8 fitting goes into the manifold. The 3/4 goes into the water pump.

Never seen a intake without a heater hose threaded hole ...could be for short track racing ? ....Or some other type racing ? .

What if you aren’t running a heater core? Can you block those ports?

@Rocker Pat it's a 36 chevy with no return port in the rad. LOL. Wanna try again?
@baxterlou Жыл бұрын
That's what I thought. In the "perfect" world, when using an engine that came in the vehicle your working on, it's easy and any kid can do it. Maybe concentrate on explaining alternative return options when building something custom.

I have a 1964 impala 327. The hose from the pump is connected to the manifold. And the ports from the heater core are just bare nothing connected . Lol Wtf? I bought it that way
