It would be awesome if they chose to keep Master Chief's helmet on and do the face reveal at the finale after his helmet visor gets cracked and then when Cortana takes over she would put the helmet back on.

A neat little detail: The name "Halo" without it you might not even know it is a TV show connected to the Halo games and books.

They should have kept his 117 gear on and allowed the original voice actor to do the show

Why does the show imply that Master Chief died and that Cortana is essentially piloting a corpse? That would mean that all of in game dialogue between the Master Chief and Cortana is just Cortana just talking to herself

As a Halo fan, I have played all the games and read most of the books, almost all. I wish the show held closer to the games and books but have enjoyed it and all its referencing. Still holding out hope that season two will pull closer to the fabulous canon already built for Halo. There’s decades of stories to tell.

I really hope season 2 has way better writing. I genuinely think this series had some moments but a lot of it was just a complete mess.

I didn't miss any small details. I missed ALL the details after I heard the writers didn't care about game lore. I didn't watch it and I have no regrets.

I stopped watching after episode 4. The story drags slow, with Kwan story being so not needed to be included, let alone how the actress act is so cringy. Overall i am just dissapointed with how the story developed

Disappointment. Is like watching a bad telenovela. they didn't use the original lore/story. and what they went with had No consistency, one episode is the insurrection, the next is the covenant, the war, gotta win the war. i enjoyed more how the movie Forward Unto Dawn was told, felt more professional. if they wish to make this big, they need better writers and NO more butt cheeks, we went years not seeing anything from MC to now seeing his butt cheeks. too much! what's next T bag the enemy? Makee almost caught some of that action. next season will be about MC being in love with Makee but they can't be together because of their families and Makee's family (covenant) don't approve of MC. and they have to love each other in secrete. 😂

i think halo is kazonkers ... the big dudes with those gravity hammers, they need 10 inch action figures from jazware. as a creative writer, i am truly inspired by halo, not knowing much aside from the fact it was a poular video game: i have now become an avid collector of the spartan series and do hope to check out the series on paramount.

I didn't miss how terrible this show was. And what a shame cuz I absolutely loved the first 3 games and didn't at all foresee how bad they would fuck it up or how terrible it would be. For shame. They should've just made a show portraying the events that took place in the games.

Ok fine, based on sheer attention to detail I give the show a pass. I still want Avery Johnson. And the Halo 2 theme. Just hire Martin O'Donnell. And put Joseph Staten on the writing staff; I know he works there.

breaking the human standards of what is right and wrong it also makes the main cheif less controlable by lack of soldjer abuse and programing that cant be controled by cortana while she could be carried by the main cheif suit but the original charactor of the main cheif is not based on the secondary john stand in recreation story of halsey all this makes more mystical the origins of the original master john cheif because he never needs to remoove a helm keeps his minimal speech matches the voice better allows for the extra largeness explains the blow up suicidal no holds barrred and reasurecteble case to returning after a blow up ,,,much better than a violated contaminated controlable human vulnerablilty and much more sane aproach than the halsey violations this where the actual cheif is more advanced than the violated human soldjer in a suit pissed off at its makers haveing insane emotional issues but a robot still driven by an actual master cheif human that aint distracted by emotional ties and more reason to why the actual cheif spooks the crap out of both sides because its so much deeper than a mere human contaminable by emotional draw backs spookey because neither cheers if he happens to be on your side and more to why the aliens call him demon and not just a "wet pulse" human but all this mystery adds to why hes not phazed in wanting the same over power control of others and more to the secrecey of his program that aint bound to the ties of the draw back of bound to unsc rules or those of any aliens but uncontroled except by his own choices much more original master cheif not just a cortana driven suit of a dead mans casket//and now ive played guardians and i gota say too video over cut takeing away from actualy doing the things in the videos plus past build ups in other halo didnt count so going in weak ass hell so fast on gun run outs sucked constant drop out recharge and one hit knock downs sucked vs built up tuffness,,, that knock ya down and start weakest always sucks with force change out of weapons sucks too,, i dont mind haveing the tuffest over powered weapon if it becomes the only gun you need and climbing advance means you can get into the teleport features in limitless amo banks plus teleporting amo means varient potencey out of the one barrel so you could dial in the amo potencey gaudians felt like backward teck to weaker weapons based on old junk liked some of the new grapfic details but so short me and my girl got it done in a few hours vs multiple hours of constant play in older versions so the bigest time was in reviven and dozens of respawns instead of normal kick ass and those was on "normal and easey" vs steady play many hours and many world levels to figure out so guardians was tiny and suckey backward as if you never played any other halo but all the others were better and counted past play in soldjer status so original play times and quality of kick ass was better too than the 5 while its like only one step compared to the multi climb in 3 and 4 so not exactly happy or satified with a minimized john version that felt as much as the secondary weaker john attempt to mimic the original but it all seems to add to the story of the temp stand in trying to take credit for the original and keep aliens from looking for the original buying time to use the title in spooking the aliens while unaware of where the original master came from or how many back up models exhisted but matching the nature of the game as a "driven robot" and why cheifs are tuffer than "wet pulse" human soldjers but packed with teck means tuffer bigger and braver phazed by less and being sexless as a robot means less romantical tricks of distraction and thats the difference in humanized version of what the master cheif originaly was,, better than the comon "wet pulse" human suffering mental backstory issues but naturaly coldhearted heroics steadily focused still a human beyond the machine but teck that neither halsey or aliens can hack because they dont have a clue of its system only access to what the cheif allows makes for the better story of why its so much more different biger tuffer smarter and luckier than abused soldjers that needed his infiltrational help

Watched about ten minutes of the first episode and it was already Hot Garbage. Im not even talking about the Helmet.

I really dig this show, the combat is awesome and brutal, silver team is cool and interesting, Halsey is way more integrated into the story and has a valid existence, Cortana is fleshed out more yet also more mysterious.. and she is taken back to basics in a satisfying away, getting away from the increasingly overwritten Cortana stuff we've gotten since Halo 4... The actors are all attractive.. some of the CGI and effects are as good as TV can possibly get.. like I get that some of the plot is annoying, and characters are disappointing (Jacob Keyes for me, I do not like the new actor who always has his mouth open and looks like he goes for the cupcakes too often).. and the music not quite hitting the right notes so to speak.. but the outright hatred is unwarranted.. this show is a good time!

Dude as a fan of the game since the og halo I got to say I love the show only thing I had to do is realize only reason storytelling points and small difference were mad is due to the fact games don’t translate into movies very well and artistically they just have to make changes but I love it

Halo 3 was the first Halo I ever played. I was in 5th grade. It was the main reason why I switched from PlayStation to Xbox. I had a friend at the time who had Halo 2 and seeing chief pummel the Prophet has always stuck with me as a core Master Chief moment. It inspired me to learn more about the story and even find a way to play Combat Evolved. ODST has grown on me over the years and Reach ranks beside 3 for me. Halo Wars, and parts of MCC rang of nostalgia but this.. this ain’t it. I haven’t watched a single episode. None of this seems appealing. Chief’s face reveal was disappointing, even a younger John doesn’t have that crisp “To give the Covenant back their bomb.” sound to it. And losing his virginity? Yikes. Talk about character assassination. Just the uproar making waves online is enough to make any diehard Halo fan readjust how they respond to the franchise and it’s creators.

The only thing I missed was the steaming pile of garbage in the background of every shot. They could not a have done a worse job if they tried. I blame everything on the writers and I feel so bad for anyone else who worked on the show such as actors, visual effects artists. All of their hard work went down the drain all because the writers thought they new best. If they wanted to make this story they should have made a whole new show.

So nice to see a video about the series that is positive for a change. The amount of criticism videos I've seen and some of the arguments made are ridiculous. Whether it be helmets being taken off, diversity pushes (which yes, is annoying), or even just how good looking the guy playing Master Chief is. So many of which arguments can actually be made against the games and the Forward unto Dawn movie too. There's plenty of inconsistency. Yes, I think it has some definite flaws in the series and certainly made too much out of Kwan-ha considering they only made 9 episodes. But it's not bad by any means. People getting angry because it didn't stay perfectly the same to the game is just stupid. They said so before making it that it would be different and it's clearly trying to bring a new audience in, which in turn made it a more generic sci fi show (which is both good and bad in different ways). The fact they merged the timelines of insurrectionists and the covenant war actually turned out to be a really good thing imo. But people were too busy complaining about Chief showing his face in episode one to a random teenager (even though it makes sense as he's just been affected by the artifact and she's clearly a mouthy teenager type - and amazingly enough, mouthy teenagers like to lecture people on what they think is right or wrong; even to Master Chief). I'd love to make a proper video defending the series while still criticising the bits I think are bad, but no doubt it would take ages and would just be greeted with hate.
