There are loose ends because it’s an unfinished TV show and they can’t have action all the time due to budget constraints. Also, that’s not how you do action on screen. It needs to serve a purpose. It’s not a video game.

@@CherryJuli and also, they had no choice but to take the failures from season 1 and try to make it have some sense with their new plans for Season 2 and going forward. I agree with you, we can`t have a lot of action with little story, you need a really good story to with it. Season 2 really brought the story and the action, can`t wait for Season 3.

I’m wondering if S3 will be a condensed version of the trilogy or if it’ll be just Halo 1. Could throw in Atriox’s rebellion so that it fits more naturally in the story. I also hope we see Thel as a general in his gold armor before he becomes the arbiter

I was looking for WHY it ended the way it did and if something could be tied to the game or whatnot and because of that conclude possible theories. Safe to say this video does not have any of this.

Most ending explained videos are exactly this. Just a recap. They don’t explain or theorize on anything. Not that a show like this needs explanation except for why are they making the damn thing if they want to piss all over everything that made the characters in the game what became legend.

They made those rings as weapons to kill the flood. Thay being you saw in that lab Halsey and her daughter was in ..that is probably a Forerunner. Clutching flood spores sealed in a device.

They were the leading species pre halo activation. They fought with the human race, who were fighting the flood, and after they won they put the human race back in a primal state as punishment. When they wiped the universe of all life with the halo, they made sure the humans would eventually retake the mantle that the forerunners took, and as such they are the only ones capable of interacting with forerunner halo technology. In the TV series, this ability to interact with forerunner halo technology is cut down to only Makee and John, while in the games it was all humans.

Yeah they named him Var ‘Gatanai. That really tickles the lore geek inside of me because 1: they didn’t name him Thel ‘Vadamee (so our boy didn’t die) and B: they decided to give this arbiter the suffix -ai, which denotes swordsmanship and he is always seen with a sword, so that’s cool.

@@AliB333 The symbolism is pretty overt. I mean come on, the guy is named after a Bible verse. Hell, Halo's entire story is based on Exodus. Where the "Flood" destroys the galaxy sent by the Precursors but the "Ark" is used to repopulate the galaxy after everything is dead. Hell, he even says at the end of the show that his image and his armor is his. The Master Chief and John 117 aren't 2 different people. They're the same person, and Chief is the one who decides what his legacy will be.

They forgot to add that battle damage to his suit when he was talking to Guilty Spark.

The Arbiter is a rank within the covenant military, not an individual. I'm assuming this particular Sangheili was a foreshadow to the next Arbiter after Chief has completed his mission on Halo.

This wasn't the same arbiter you end up teaming up in halo 2, that arbiter got that rank because he is blamed for what happened in halo 1.

Not with plot armor. She's not "dead" dead. Just like kai crashing a whole ship head first and have her whole body perfectly intact rather than vapourize into dust. Its a fake death to add suspense. Like how cortana was "killed"

Same here. I heard of the game but never played it and thought it was a starship troopers / mech warrior kinda thing but so far I'm loving both season 1&2. The fight scenes with the covenant are raw and visceral. This is a big budget show.

Glad you're enjoying the show! As a longtime Halo fan, I'd invite you to either check out the games or some videos in KZfaq detailing the story. The show is good for what it is, but doesn't hold a candle to the story from the games.

Zeta can be aimed. You can focus the pulse and wipe out cones of the galaxy, but the other Halo rings can't be aimed.

Lookup the halo 4 Librarian cutscene. It basically gives you the whole franchise back story. Also there were pre-historic humans before us that were at war with the Forerunners and fleeing the flood at the same time. The forerunners then whipped out all living things with the halo (including themselves) and re-seeded humans to earth as primitive. Then fast forward past ancient Egyptians, medieval times, American revolution, WWI, WWII, Covid-19 +500 years up until the fall of reach and that’s where the franchise currently is in time.

That was not the Arbiter from the game.

In Halo reach, they are there. The first Halo game.

Cortana is an AI based on a human, monitors can also fall victim to the logic plague, such was the case with Mendicant Bias. Even then its not a direct infection, its more so making the target question their judgement since they cannot directly interact with these AI constructs, unlike something lile the Infestation in Warframe.

@@yertnert2624 No, Ancillas are considered far better fitted to combat the flood and even the best of them, Mendicant Bias fell to it. As such things like the location of the Matrix of the Halo is suppressed on monitors, because its well known they can fall to it.
