You should get a binder and put all of those new recipe pages in it! Instead of having them all loose and falling everywhere. Then you can flip through and see them easier!

I don’t get emotionally attached to too many material things…but when I do it’s super hard to get rid of them. 😅 I’m having such a hard time selling all of my Rae Dunn measuring cups, but I know it’s necessary so I’m kind of forcing myself to do it.

you are doing the right thing regarding your food and PCO and insulin resistance! I hope the diet are working out for you and that you feel better. I've got PCO too and even though I don't have problems with my insulin I know diet can affect my symtoms. Love!

I'm also trying to follow Swedish Death Cleaning. My mom passed away and while she was super organized, even building her house to have storage for everything, I've packed over 200 moving boxes of dishes, knick knacks, crafts, etc. It's very stressful so I'm trying hard to be minimalist and not leave similar for my daughter to have to deal with whenever it's my time.

Perfect timing !! I have this weekend off work & will be taking on a very messy disorganized kitchen tomorrow. I went to Fleet Farm for industrial lazy susans, drawer organizer bins and hook together shelves. I live in an apartment and am limited in what I can do. Thanks Megan !! I need to declutter my coffee mugs and water cups too! They just build up over time. I love having a galley style kitchen because we have none of those blind or corner cabinets so no wasted space at all!

You aren't the only mug hoarder. I don't buy mugs anymore, but get gifted mugs all the time. But I did just declutter 19 mugs from my cabinet, retaining only 8. It was hard but the space I gained was worth it.

I got some coffee mugs as Christmas gifts and ended up either returning or donating them. Next year I plan to tell everyone that I’d rather not receive any mugs or kitchen ware because we just don’t have the space for it.

Im addicted to coffee mugs too. I get tired of them and just donate a bunch and then buy new ones. I’m not fooling myself that I’m not going to stop buying them so I just gave in!

I told my husband I want 2 yeti coffee mugs for Christmas to replace all of the ones I kept, and then I won’t buy anymore lol!

I’d make a home for them in a time will tell bin/box and date them for 6 months to a year, then if they’re still in there (ie you haven’t pulled them out to use them/needed them) then you’ll be good to donate/toss them. 6:12

I got into the habit when we traveled to try and get coffee mugs from each area. Then I realized what a space grabber they were. Now I get magnets and postcards small. I put the postcards in as I do my photos in albums and the magnets work cause I live in an apartment that have the original white metal kitchen cabinets. Thought I would hate them but it is really nice to have a place to use a magnet to hold up a recipe when I am cooking or baking. Easy to clean too.

I totally understand the reno expense. We had 2 pipes Crack and flood kitchen and part of carpet in living room. With insurance involved we underwent a 4 month gut job of kitchen. Insurance paid reno but not rebuild. Everything is so expensive. Love my kitchen now and I know you will too. You did a good job decluttering and I know it wasn't easy. Blessings!

Our insurance payout only covered about 1/4 of the total work estimate 😭 it’s been a huge financial burden for us.

❤️ girllllll, it was such an overwhelming diagnosis but I truly feel like I’ve got a grasp on it now. I’ve made a few changes over the last month & have FINALLY lost some weight, feel like I have increased energy levels, no longer experience high carb/sugar cravings, and significantly cut down on the painful bloating. Lol I used to be a mug hoarder too, funny thing is I go months without drinking coffee and months where I do. Now I try to avoid going to stores that sell more than groceries so I don’t have this problem and I make a list and only buy what’s on my list. It works for me. I believe Green Chef is the same as Hello Fresh correct? I love Hello Fresh and Home Chef with a iron deficiency these meals have made my life so much easier for over 6 years I’ve been buying them for myself and my family. Love highly recommend. In my opinion the food better than restaurant food. My grocery store Kroger actually sells Home Chef in it. And Target has there own version that’s pretty good too!

I've been decluttering for a little over a month now and I feel great. I need to do another pass in all rooms again. Which I plan to do this weekend and into next week. If we don't love it, need it, use it or wear it we aren't keeping the stuff. I want our next move to be easier.

If you have too many mugs break them up over different times of the year. I store about 3-4 mugs with each season’s decorations. This way when I reset the house for the new season my loved old mugs have become new again. Mugs will chip, stain etc so you will need to replace so there is always the opportunity to get a new one at some point.

I am too cheap for green chef. But due to health concerns, I had to go on a Mediterranean diet. It sounds like that is what you're on. The food is so satisfying, and it has been easy to transition. If I could afford to get green chef, I would think it would be an amazing way to learn to cook my new diet.

Having kids myself, I would keep the straw and spout tops, not the big opening one. At least in our family, we've never used the big opening ones.

I'm the same way with small risers for decor, wooden cuttingboards, organizational bins in every size, AND🤦‍♀️ faux plants- as you are with coffee mugs and tumblers.😂 I have a problem buying all of those things too often and ending up with more than necessary...except for organizational bins....you can never have too many of those. They come in handy literally everywhere in the house...that's how I justify buying them.🤣🤣

For the water bottle lids, I’d have the kids use each lid for a week. See if they like it or not. If not get rid of it. If they come to you on day 2-3 and want to swap the lid for another. Toss the one they don’t like. Let them use it and decide what they like.

They can’t use those lids at school & their water bottles are mostly used at school. We just decluttered them.

I have two shelves of coffee mugs in my largest cabinet. Haha. They are the hardest for me to declutter because a lot of them were gifts from my best friends or my son. I also love seasonal mugs for holidays. But I like how your after shot looks so now I think I need to declutter my mugs.

We used to have so many that if they were all clean they couldn’t fit into the cabinet. 😅 it’s been a long journey of slowly decluttering until I got it down to this more manageable amount…but Derek got a Nespresso machine for Christmas so a day after I filmed this he went out & bought 2 clear glass mugs so that he could see his specialty coffee drinks. 🫠

You did an awesome job! The whole tome your going through cabinets and drawers I'm thinking ok you need to be doing the same thing! Then I'm going through my mind what can I get rid of per cabinet!! This was sooooo motivating/refreshing! Empty cabinets look and sound like such a good thing! We have a corner cabinet both top and bottom. The top one is fine. But that bottom one is a BLACK HOLE!! Even a lazy Susan would have been better. 👏👏👏👏 awesome job!! Cannot wait to see the final, that kitchen is going to be great I bet! Love the Alice in wonderland jar!! That's my daughter's favorite!

We love Alice in Wonderland too! It was so hard to declutter those ones but it was necessary because we need to fund the renovation. 😭 the Cheshire Cat sold already but Alice is still available if you’re interested! There’s a link in the video description box if you want to check it out 🤗

Hello again, I feel the new tumblers you got for your daughters you should keep the additional black tops that have a handle on it more useful for when they are out and about easier to carry for them. Just my opinion as a mom i fave found tumbler with carry handle easier for them.
