You're losing a lot of gold out onto the ground. Use a much bigger pan underneath, as the fine gold will not be heavy enough to drop down through the waters turbulence...and instead will be overflowed onto the ground. If anything set up a 3 tub cascade so your water will have more time to drop out fine gold particles.

Thanks for sharing ! How many liters (LPM) or gallons (GPM) a minute are you running ?

All that dust is not goo to breath. Over time it could cause a form of lung cancer called silicosis. Silicosis is a lung disease caused by breathing in tiny bits of silica, a mineral that is part of sand, rock, and mineral ores such as quartz. It mostly affects workers exposed to silica dust in occupations such mining, glass manufacturing, and foundry work. best wishes

Very interesting set up, Trent.Next step ,in my mind,would be to set up some sort of hopper and feed chute,so you don't have to spoon-feed the machine.Maybe even ,instead of introducing the water to the system at the bowl level,introduce it at the hopper level ,which at the same time would flush material from your hopper,killing 2 birds with one stone ,as they say...Trev.

Trev's Bush and Gold Adventures Already got a plan in the pipeline for that Trev, going to have my big crusher feeding straight into a slurry pump. That way I don't have to double handle the material, just feed into the crusher.

Ah is this when your water supply is limited? Its a bluebowl in reverse? The spins catching the gold under the outside ribs and gradually riding the lighter gravels out over the top?

Great video guys. So is that like a man sized blue bowl? Cant wait to see the next video, any chance of a quick vid on the ground you are working?
@Diggerdude299 жыл бұрын
00Shivan00 Too many claim jumpers around to show any pics of my hole, I had people trying to detect my scraped areas straight after I put the vid up of them. I don't won't to give them any chance of working out where I'm digging at the moment.

Trent King No worries, shame to hear about that type of behaviour. Though after a few other incidents i should have thought better.

How long can you run that before you have to change the water? In other words, what percentage of solids in your slurry will start to degrade performance?
@Diggerdude298 жыл бұрын
I normally change water after 3 bins full.

Have you ever tested the recovery in the bowl separate from the sluice? In theory either one could be getting all the recovery you see at the end of the next step since you add the rough product from each to the other before the next step. keith

+Hard Rock University They are always done seperatey. Most of the time I only clean the bowl out as there is usually nothing in the sluice.

Excellent. Just wondering. Wish I had your ore grades! Keith

I bet a dish, or paint brush would be more controlled for wash out. And probably a black plastic pan instead of a 5 gallon bucket. But maybe you’re getting pickers not flower or gold sand.

Thanks for the educational video Trent! Great work. If you don't mind me asking:1) how many grams/ounces do you recover on an average month in your situation? 2) how much does one of these concentrators costs? Cheers!

I like your video but since the object of the bowl is to catch very fine gold, I'm surprised that you don't take greater care not to lose same during washout. I'm certain that the catch bowl is losing fines

It always depends on the ore you are treating. Assaying the tail is important when trying to know what your recovery is. This stuff free mills easily and tail averages 0.2gpt, not enough to worry about. Have had tails go 250gpt 😦, different ore and different process to recover.

Hay Trent, Can I borrow that for Oallen? haha. How the hell would they get 5T/hr through that feed tube? Like Ian said, bring it on!
@Diggerdude299 жыл бұрын
Mick Ellis It's meant to be fed with a slurry pump mate, the bloke I bought it of was running 7T/hr through it with one.
