Hello, dear friends around the world 💙
I share bits of my life in our tiny village here in Northern Finland. The winter still keeps us waiting, and in the meantime I do my things - baking, reading and knitting.
I hope you are doing well, lots of love and light to your days ✨💛

I think it's wonderful that someone so young has already discovered what is important in life, it takes a lifetime for some.

When I was young (+-20 years), I thought there was a path of my own, but then came bysy years (studies, own family, children, Works, etc). Now I have again time and need to find my own path, way of thinking and way of living. I Will go to this world step by step. And it is exciting.

I can understand why you feel like you do. It seems the world has gone mad in the pursuit of money and power. You and your friends were quite right to decide to keep your village and community just as it is. Sounds lovely! Incidentally, your bread looks amazing! 🇬🇧

The world did not go mad , you finally started to realize that THIS IS THE WORLD …. My suggestion to you is to familiarize yourself with cognitive biases … you can also read “The laws of human nature” by Greene , the “Prince” by Machiavelli and “Republic” by Plato… You created the world in your head based on the fairy tales and movies , and now you see that the real world can not fit in to the model you have created in your head and you feel pain … Like I mentioned before read on the subject of cognitive biases …

I came across it while looking at nature videos on KZfaq. The beginning of the video made me feel like I was listening to a book. As nature, the springs of the Black Sea region of Turkey came to my mind. Small villages, people living in peace with nature. Frankly, as long as you respect nature, nature gives you what you want. It becomes more beautiful when we try to understand and love it instead of destroying it. Thank you. Greetings from Turkey, to the people beautified by nature

I was so pleased when you said you wanted your village to stay the same. I don’t think many people understand that some of us enjoy a simple style of life. Your excitement of the library bus coming reminded me of an email I received last week from Google. It told me that the highlight of my month was my local library! When you talk about the springtime struggle, I totally understand! I lived in Finland when I was in my 20s, and spring was always difficult for me. While everyone else was enjoying the sunlight and warmer temperatures, I was either sleeping or crying. The sudden increase in light affected me very deeply. I'm now in my 50s and I live in Florida, so I don't have that problem anymore! I enjoy watching your videos and remembering what I love about Finland.

Ich will in Ruhe leben, gärtnern, weit von Irrsinn des Systems und leute kinder grosziehen, Wälder Pflanzen, stricken, nähen... und bin hier im dorf mit meiner meinung ganz allein...

You are very right about your reflection because it is important to be an individual in a relationship as well simply because we all are one. We all have personal preferences, and we are all different. It's just as important to spend time alone as it is to spend time together and it's healthy for both in which ever relationship really even friendships as well. When we spend time with ourself that effort will benefit the one's we care about because selfcare equals how full our own cup is to share with others. Nobody can just keep giving, because then the cup will become empty, and that will affect others. So, spend time with yourself as well. You are doing something right.

Thank you for sharing your life. It means a great deal to me. I grew up in the South of America and moved to the Mid-Atlantic coast of America years ago. Then, several years back I moved to Maine and lived alone for two years and can so much put myself in your shoes as you describe your feelings, experiences and philosophy. It took the better part of those two years in Maine with similar weather and seasonal patterns to your Finland to acclimate physically and mentally and my soul. It brought about a connection to nature and patience for change of seasons and along with this an appreciation of quiet simple things and joy in the smallest things that went unnoticed in the hurry blurry of the other places. I began to really enjoy being alone with myself and comfortable within myself really experiencing with appreciation of the world and people around me. Thanks, again. You are a blessing. Here's to a happy Spring.

I love our life, but sometimes the very hot summers can wear me down and then I wish for some snow( which we never have here). So I think it is very much the same experience you have at the end of winter. I am looking forward to your knitting video. I absolutely love to knit although I only knit with straight needles.

Dear Sanna, I saw your video, I liked it and also the bread making. We always try to make our own bread and I tried your recipe. In stead of wheatflour I used speltflour. The mixture was too wet and I had to add pretty much flour. The next time I used less water. The structure and taste are wonderfull. Thank you!

I can understand the great pleasure the library bus brings, it’s one of my favourite things too. Your dogs give lots of love @ help to make the days less long. Love from Australia, very different to your surroundings. I am grateful for the riches in my life too (most of the time). Haha!

I recently discovered your videos and you have already given me much joy. I am older and live in the Pacific Northwest, but my roots go back to the state of Maine. My maternal grandmother immigrated from Finland in 1911 and I knew some of her relatives as a boy. I can almost taste that wonderful bread I know it pleases in many ways the taste and the aroma of the baking. Please continue to share your great talent for video and storytelling with us. I hope you and your villagers can maintain the beautiful culture you have. Do not despair Spring is on the way just seems to be slower this year. Again, thank you for your great work.

Many thanks for this amazing video about pure nature and simple quiet nordic life. Snowy winters have always been a great source of inspiration for me too, in my country Tunisia in North Africa, usually we have only few snowy days every year in some cities in the north west and center west , such as Aïn Draham, El Kef, Thala, Kesra...etc For that reason I feel the whole time a huge longing for that magnificent weather and where's weirdness in that, since scientists have found out in 2005 that Berbers peoples share the same mitochondrial DNA link (U5b1b) with Scandinavian Sámi peoples, a maternal lineage aged of merely 9000 years!!!

How enchanting these out-of-the-away places feel! I have never been physically in the world of snow and ice, having lived all my life in the perpetual summer of the equator, in Africa, but I find myself, many times invited by its allure and I do watch videos of that world very much. I love how well preserved they keep the environment.
