Small Worlds Tokyo is an indoor attraction (perfect for a rainy day!) with miniature scenes and dioramas, including Sailor Moon and Evangelion.

There are so many details and things going on at Small Worlds Tokyo! The video includes a walk-through of the attraction, and the main sections: the space centre, the Global Village with miniature scenes from around the world, Sailor Moon (with Crystal Tokyo) and the cage and Tokyo-III from Evangelion. There's also a look into the workshop where they make the models and figures. It's fun to take photos of the miniatures. There are buttons to press and moving parts, like trains and planes that actually fly! Everything's indoors so it's a great thing to do on a rainy day in Japan. It's in Odaiba; the video includes how to get there on the train, ticket prices, how to get tickets and other things to do nearby.

Small Worlds Tokyo was so much fun, especially as an Evangelion fan! One cool thing about the airport is that there are two sections that you can crouch into, and when you pop your head out you’re in the middle of the airport! I’m too tall to have tried, but my girlfriend was able to do it and said it was an awesome view of the planes! ✈️✈️

That is cool, being part of the scene! There was a similar thing at an aquarium I went to recently, but it was small and just for kids!

My wife and I loved it when we went in April, so many small details, you could go multiple times and still find details you missed. My wife is a big Sailor Moon fan and I'm a Evangelion fan so we both had massive geek out moments

This place hugely exceeded our expectations. These types of attractions can be really hit or miss -- sometimes just something quickly put together that's fun for an hour and forgettable, but we spent hours here having fun. Super underrated.

I visited Small Worlds Tokyo on Pet Day and my dog and I made the miniature figurine. We got one to take home and one to leave in the museum. We found the spot where we were placed in your video!!! ( At the time of your video, we weren’t there yet.) One of the cool things about this museum is that you discover new little details with each visit! You shared so many cute things that I totally missed on my visit! Thank you for a great video!😊

Ah that's so cool, that must have been funny seeing your spot! Was it hard to get your dog to stay still for the scanning? 😂 I think everyone must spot different details when they go - I guess that means it's a place you can re-visit happily.

@@cakeswithfaces The scan was actually very easy. I just held my dog for 2~😃3 seconds and it was fine. They take 3 scans and you choose the one you like best. They give you a passport entry return card so if you come to pick up your figurine (as opposed to having it sent to you) that's a free visit! And of course, the first thing you do is find where they put you!

Hi Cakes with Faces. Me and my wife visited Aiake Garden in January and we could see the sign with "Small Worlds Tokyo" from our hotel window. I actually said to my wife "wonder what that building is with the sign Small Worlds Tokyo on it". We didn't investigate further, but thru your video I finally know what it is 🙂I was nearby in July as well, visiting Ariake, but yet again I did not know about it. Thank you for your videos, they are always full of interesting and useful information. Greetings from Norway 🙂

I have to add, there are a pretty big shopping mall inside Ariake Garden. And yes, Ariake is not very crowded, the buildings are far apart so it feel very spacious, same goes for Odaiba. I'm looking forward to your next video.

I really like how Odaiba and the Toyosu area have such a different feel to the rest of Tokyo. They feel more relaxed because it's more spacious.

I've seen a few posts on this before from others. Reminds me of Miniature Wonderland in Hamburg, although the sets there seem based more on real life locations with fewer fantasy elements than Small Worlds. The fact this has no crowds in the off season is a big plus for me.

That miniature of Azabu Juban is so detailed, I wish I had one at home.. I went there earlier this year as well. Worth it!

They've thought of so many fun details! It's really fun watching the planes go around - there's a lounge opposite so you can sit and take a break there.

Very interesting video from the inside. I've visited Cape Canaveral/Cape Kennedy in Florida in the 80s, I think the repro is pretty accurate. Me and my wife is going to Yokohama in November, we will visit the Ramen Museum for sure. It's on our list 🙂Wow, Ariake Tennis no mori station was right outside our hotel, we could see it from our room. It's very cool to see familiar places. We will visit TeamLabs one day I'm sure of. I'll say it again, there are always a lot of useful information in your videos, thank you so much for sharing 🙂

I want to note that the Unko museum is just a 20 minute walk from small worlds. It's an interactive museum all about Unko (poop!)

I went in April and was disappointed with it, don't know if they were having technical problems but the Global village was on permanent night so couldn't see much- I waited a long time and revisited a few more times but no light. Some buttons weren't working, airport extremely boring with just some slow taxiing nothing taking off and no fireworks, nobody around in workshop area, and I had my worst ever meal in Japan in the cafe. Sounds like you had a much more successful visit

You have to pay extra for the 3D model of yourself. There are various plans for taking the figure home or having it live at Small Worlds, with different prices for different areas: smallworlds.jp/en/pickup/3dfigure/

This was before the mask rules were relaxed. Even though at the time mask wearing wasn't compulsory, everyone was wearing them in all public places, so it seemed best to follow suit & not make other people feel uncomfortable. I think it's more relaxed now though so you wouldn't have to wear them all the time any more.

Haha, it does make you feel like a giant monster! They should have a Gojira day once a month . 😝 They'd probably throw you out if you started throwing thunderbolts though...
