Their brutality takes the calf an inch from death, it's that deadly. What you see in this video is a calf that is extremely hungry, who has been stolen from his mother who would otherwise nurse him, who he will never see again, because that's the elephant industry, abusive, unhealthy and deadly. It's street begging, where the cuteness of the calf is expected to persuade tourists to give money for the calf to eat, which in real life largely goes to the mahout 's wallet. It's sheer exploitation, and the elephant suffers.

@@lakshmikrithika2521Elephants should be with herds (their family), and shouldn’t be kept in captivity like this where tourists have to feed it small bottles of milk in order for it to survive. I feel like a sanctuary would be best for the little guy so at least he has a peaceful place to be instead of simply being profited off of as a tourist attraction. Hopefully the people who own this little guy, are properly feeding them at the end of the day. 😭

@@lakshmikrithika2521 possibly, elephants are very important in Thai culture. But this is in the middle of a tourist shop. It might be in a sanctuary, it might not. It's true that elephants in the wild get killed by ruthless poachers, and it's heartbreaking. All for their ivory. And most of the time, they don't kill the animal before removing the ivory, they just take it and leave the poor thing to die. But seeing as this baby is doing a trick at such a young age, it's a decent chance it's been forced to do it. I certainly hope not, I hope these people take good care of it and I hope it has a mama it goes back to. But elephants get ab*sed in captivity sometimes, too. It's just a possibility....

in thailand there are actually humane stations for elephants, that try to save and help them as well as take care of elephants in need that had bad experiences or were abused, I was at one of them in Koh Samui. They finance themself through tourists, but you don't ride them or anything, you just watch them in a mostly natural habitat and feed them to take pictures and learn more about them, it's awesome and they don't have to learn some tricks or carry humans around, just life their lives. I hope this is also one of those places, you shouldn't be so quick to judge. They learn pretty fast how to get what they want 😂

Hello. I visited this elephant sanctuary last year and they were treated very well. This baby elephant is with her mommy there. We fed them all and put "beauty" mud masks on them🙂 Those animals were saved from cruel owners and now they live there freely. They were not locked in one place. They were roaming around. The guy on the video was our guide and he definitely adores elephants. He seemed to speak their language😊 They take care of those elephants voluntarily and had to pay big amounts of money to save them from those cruel owners. Take care.

@@RandomCaliforniaAdventure This place is basically in the middle of a forest. They are roaming around freely. There is only this little store and they seem to come and chill around it. There is even a lake where they go and have a bath. You are not lured by the elephant in front of the store. You need to book to be there. They do not accept everyone and only limited number of people not to scare them off.

1. The spot on the elephant’s head is most likely a sun burn. Pigs, rhinos, elephants and other animals with pale skin and little hair get sun burned. 2. An animal can learn how to bow just by seeing humans doing it and seeing that they will most likely get rewarded food. A good example of this happening is Japan’s Nara Park where local deer bow to visitors for food. They didn’t experience abuse they just learned on their own. This behavior can also be taught without abusive behavior. 3. Yes this is a sanctuary, yes that is the caregiver in the video, no it’s not forced to be in front of this shop to attract visitors. You actually have to book to visit this sanctuary. 4. If you think that the milk in the video is all the elephant will have a meal then you are a little dense to think so. It’s for vitamins and it’s basically a snack for the elephant. That’s what he was trying to get in the bottle and it takes a while to mix it up. 5. Elephant sanctuaries are to help prevent elephants from being hunted down for their ivory tusks. They are senselessly killed and left behind just for tusks. I would also like it if animals could be free in the wild, but without human intervention most animals would go extinct because of us humans. In reality yes some sanctuaries and zoos don’t treat their animals well. But don’t just jump to conclusions that every video you come across has animal abuse.

@@abbyangel3303they’re painting. It’s a mental stimulation. And it’s a few elephants, that they feel has more capacity to follow commands. There is also a video of a white man drumming in front of an elephant. After the man stopped the elephant started drumming with its trunk. Was it abused? Was it made to do that? No. Elephants are naturally very curious and love some challenge. They have excellent brain capacity and memory. They learn by themselves. Yes circus made them do certain things however none of those sanctuaries exist now. These caregivers actually Love their elephants. So worry not

Hello. I visited this elephant sanctuary last year and they were treated very well. This baby elephant is with her mommy there. We fed them all and put on "beauty" mud masks on them🙂 Those animals were saved from cruel owners and now they live there freely. They were not locked in one place. They were roaming around. The guy on the video was our guide and he definitely adores elephants. He seemed to speak their language😊 They take care of those elephants voluntarily and had to pay big amounts of money to save them from those cruel owners. Take care.

Baby elephants shouts to their mothers when they’re hungry… but the bowing gesture seems to be something it learned. Elephants are smart and the baby probably realizes if it does a cute gesture it’s more likely to get fed.
