For anyone reading this, you have to pair the device with its app, then link it with Google Home, often with only on/off, before going onto integrating scenes. Once that's done, create the scene in Smart Life (its cloned app, Brilliant Smart, works also, and in my case, works better. I'd suggest using that.) For me, I can turn my Fan on and off with Hey Google using an ir remote blaster, but no other commands such as speed change will execute through Google Home. The fan is some unknown brand. The process is the same for any scenes you want to integrate. You'll be using the ifttt.com (if this then that) website. The free version allows 3 applets each with one action. The pro version is $3.99 a month and gives you unlimited applets, multiple actions (scenes) and conditionals. Here's the process. After you create a free account on ifttt, go to ifttt.com/create . Click Add on If This. Search for Google Assistant and select. (First time, you'll be asked for credentials.) Choose "Say a simple phrase". Under 'What do you want to say?', enter the phrase you'll use to trigger Google Home. In my case, I'm entering 'Fan speed'. You can enter 2 more alternative phrasings you may use to describe what you want, like 'Fan Up' or something. Enter something like, 'Okay', for 'What do you want the Assistant to say in response?'. Then click, Create Trigger. Then, click the 'Then That' Add button. Search for and choose Smart Life (or Brilliant Smart). Select 'Activate Scene'. Click 'Connect'. First time, you'll be asked to log into Smart Life and authorize ifttt to use it. Then from the dropdown, select the scene you created previously in your Smart Life app. Then click 'Create Action', 'Continue' & "Finish'. Now just try voice command, in my case, Hey Google "Fan Speed". A bit tedious, you have to create a new scene and ifttt applet for each scene. With ifttt pro, you can add multiple actions. So for my dumb tv, with an ir remote blaster, I have one ifttt applet run through the 'TV Volume Up' scene 10 times, instead of raising the volume by only one increment. But now I can control any remote control action or any smart app controlled device with Google voice commands, not just on or off. I'm using the clone of Smart Life, the Brilliant Smart app. For some reason, it seems to work better and is available to link on Google Home. I read Smart Life dropped ifttt integration a year or so ago, and it still seems problematic. Other clones may or may not be offered under the linked services once your back on Google Home. Of course, you have to go through the whole device setup, link it with Google Home, then create scenes before you go into ifttt. Hope that helps. I stole the instructions off a reddit post, which I can't locate at the moment. But switching over to Brilliant just now, I had to go through the process again now. A couple of devices which are not completely dumb, with multiple switches, not just on/off yet no remote still allude Google Home automation. Anyone with suggestions on how to control those type of devices with Google Home, please advise.

To do this, you would need to first set up your smart IR blaster in the Smart Life app and add the device to a room or group. Once the routine is set up, you can use Google Assistant voice commands to trigger the routine and control the device. Guys!I found a solution,go to www.tuya.com/ and then click on the bottom right, select the option online support or your preferred way of communication then tell them about the problem,they fixed mine in like 2 minutes!
