Thank You for an incredibly detailed and informative instructional video of calibrating the Smart Sensor AR8100. The best that I have seen. My machine is operating normal. You are a Wizard, making life's most difficult problems - answered and understandable. Thanks Again. Stam

YES - Your video is detailed, easy to understand and allows the layman to understand and use the results from their equipment. But you also go one step beyond. Life can be difficult and keeping a fresh, positive outlook difficult. Positive outlooks yield positive results. You make the world a better place. Thank You. Stam

Thank you Stam for your comment, and I am happy that I could help. I have been up now for the past 36 hours, so I think I will go lay down for a bit LOL. I was up all night after driving all day yesterday, so I could get the video up today, and that was because I said I would be back Monday which I was (around 5pm), but instead of going to bed after the long drive, I decided - if I were going to get this video up, I better not fool around and get straight to work, so I sat up all night shooting and editing, but I am glad that I did make that decision - knowing it has helped. Thanks 👍👍

You are Genuinely a Nice person, you went through a lot of work to help one person, I hope many others will benefit from this video! Hopefully we have some good news soon about the upgraded AirKnight and you keep us posted as soon as it's released.

Thank you Rob for your thoughts - much appreciated. My inspiration usually comes from those who need help. I haven't heard from Jim in a couple weeks since my last email to him, so not sure how it is going. The last he said was that the AirKnight upgrade would be a few more months, but I will let you know as I get more information. 👍

@@Outside-In. Oh, I was under the impression it was a sure thing to be released no later than March. If that's not the case, then I'll go ahead and order the $45 HOTKREM. I built one of those box fan air purifiers (single filter) and am anxious to to start testing if it really works. If you're are looking for content, that may make an interesting video comparing it to a "real" air purifier.

@@RobtTa I thought it was a sure thing as well, but Jim said that the financial guy was around to approve the money for the changes, but there is no word yet from Jim whether it was approved. Jim said that they did get the change done for turning off the auto shutdown feature, and when I asked him how a person was supposed to know that they were buying one with this update - because there are so many originals still floating around, and there is no information about this change on their website or on the Amazon listing. Jim just replied that people will know when they get it, because the information is in the manual....... So it sounded as though Jim got a little annoyed with the question. Sorry Rob, but I am going to have to say it might be better to just forget about the AirKnight at this point, and go with the Hotkrem. The last email I sent to Jim, he has not responded yet, and that was about 2 weeks ago, so I have not clue what it going on..

@@RobtTa Hey Rob, I just had a great idea. I found a 5" Hepa Filter, and just ordered it, as I thought of creating a DIY air purifier using a PC fan. I will put that into the case to see how it works, and if it works as I expect, it will be proof that building a full sized box fan purifier will indeed work (as the small scale version would be made exactly the same as a large scale version). I just don't have a case big enough for testing a full size fan DIY purifier (I suppose just using a DIY purifier inside a room would work without the need for a case, but one inside a case would result in quicker filtration results). I am pretty sure that would work, but would you agree that a small scale DIY purifier would give a person the proper know-how for building it using a bigger fan? (as it would be made exactly the same way). Anyway - it should make a pretty interesting test though.

The monitor works great. I neglected to explain my name. Stam is not a normal first name. If you put it together with my last name, you get. - stampeden. Like a herd of buffalo. Thanks Again

Thank you for the clarification. I typed as Stam because you ended your responses with Stam, so was under the impression that is how you preferred to be addressed. Actually when I first said stampeden out-loud, that is exactly what I thought of - a herd of buffalo stampeding :). I was also pretty sure that Stam was not a real first name, and just thought it was a KZfaq handle. 👍

Really informative video Steven. You are giving polished, informative videos. Can you do a video on camera glasses. I am looking for a pair less than $100 that takes photos & videos. Full 1080p is a must. The instructions that come with the camera glasses are the worst and need someone with your detail to give a really full tutorial. Thank you so much for what you do. The pair you like are the ones I will buy. Bob

Thanks Rob for your comment, and kind words - they are much appreciated. I will have to look into that, and yes, I would love to do a video on some video glasses as that is also something that I myself have wondered about. Hopefully they don't get too expensive LOL. I hear too many people say that you get what you pay for, and I guess in some situations that may be kinda true, but there are some pretty cool items that we can find, that are not only less expensive, but also very close to more expensive alternatives - so hopefully I can get lucky at finding a pair of camera glasses at a lower price that is comparable to more expensive ones :)...

Ok, I am not sure if it is Bob or Rob LOL. I will just say Bob... I just found a pair of glasses and made the purchase. They are a little more than the 100.00 you mentioned but not much more at all, but can't say of course how they are until I give them a try, but am looking forward to giving these a try as they have a good variety of reviews and also they look great as well, but will know for sure once I have them in hand. I will try and get a video up as soon as I get them and have a chance to test and review them. If these do work good, they do have a pair that is less than the 100.00 price, but I chose the one with more storage and why it is a little more expensive. I am looking forward to also to doing a video that is a bit off the beaten path of my usual air quality videos LOL... 👍

How often should Ar8100 be calibrated?
@Outside-In.
@Outside-In. 3 ай бұрын
Whenever the numbers are not registering what you think they should. Just like an Air Quality monitor, if the numbers are not what you think they should be (and the monitor can be calibrated), then you should perform a calibration per manufacture. If you use your Air Quality monitor/s 24/7, then I would suggest a calibration every 6 months just to be safe. Hope this helps, and thanks for the question.

Hello! My name is Oscar. I will soon be working a lot with resin. Resin produces toxic gases in its liquid state, and I would like to buy a device that can control the air in the room where I work with resin. Can you recommend a specific device? Best regards.
@Outside-In.
@Outside-In. 4 ай бұрын
Hello Oscar, and thanks for the question. The best thing that you can do is to have good ventilation. An air purifier would be great for eliminating particulates and odors, but would not be good for gases. As long as you have good ventilation, you should be good. Typically two fans would be best for circulating the air quality, one fan for the intake of fresh air, and the other to exhaust the bad air, and that way you will have a constant flow of fresh air inside the room where you are resin printing. You just need good ventilation. Hope this helps.

@@Outside-In. Hello! Thank you for the response. I actually have a resin printer that I will be starting with soon. I’m not sure if you know what a resin printer is, but in short, it’s a 3D printer that uses resin to print. I will of course ventilate the room frequently and wear a 3M A2P3 mask while working with resin. I was wondering if you know of a good air quality monitor that reliably indicates air quality. It should be suitable for my resin work.
@Outside-In.
@Outside-In. 4 ай бұрын
@@externator750 Yes Oscar, I know exactly what a Resin Printer is and how it works. I was only suggesting that ventilation would be the best thing to do, but didn't know you were asking about a air quality device. To keep an eye on your air quality, I would recommend a TemTop monitor or a monitor that tracks TVOC. The resin will put off allot of TVOC's, so that is what you want to keep notice of. The TemTop M10 is a good choice. There are other great choices as well, but I cannot recommend anything that I have not tested personally.
