Ok. Now that that is done. Time to start working on season 2 of in depth analysis. I'll answer any questions here

I thought DI was only holding left or right in this game since up and down just modifies how far you fly thanks to knockback.

In your video it says "Good DI: Holding Up". That's not correct anymore. Holding up now increases your knockback. It launches you at a better angle, but it also increases your knockback speed. So in Ultimate you want to never DI upwards. When launched sideways just holding towards the stage is optimal. When launched upwards holding down and towards a blast zone corner is optimal.
@PBLKGaming
@PBLKGaming 5 жыл бұрын
True. It's not the best DI. But it's better DI. As shown in the video. I didn't want to go that deep with DI in this video, like I said.
@Izandaia
@Izandaia 5 жыл бұрын
@@PBLKGaming The point is that holding up isn't better DI. It will get you killed earlier than if you did nothing.
@MelvaCross
@MelvaCross 5 жыл бұрын
@@Izandaia No, they are right. DI-ing up is in most cases still better than not DI-ing at all. The benefits of the better angle outweight the higher knockback. They also said that it's kinda worth its own video. And they're damn right about that.

Very detailed and easy to understand. I’ve been into competitive for a while, but this is a nice solidifies and will definitely help any new players looking to get deeper into Smash. I’d say a DI video will be very important, as many new players seem to have a hard time grasping the concept

A little disclaimer here, 8:27. A thing in ultimate is that the sakurai angle is more simple, launching your opponent at 38° towards aerial opponents, much like the grounded ones with high enough knockback. Don't you love the simplicity? Because it makes combos consistent no matter the opponent's posicion, as well as making edgeguard more rewarding and overall killing at the same percentage with the same move instead of later against aerial opponents.

Why does FAF is named like that? I mean, it would be pretty logic to name it Last Actionable Frame, since it's the duration of the move and not the first frame of it. Anyway, thank you a lot for this video!
@PBLKGaming
@PBLKGaming 4 жыл бұрын
Because you cannot act during a move. It's first actionable frame because it's the first frame you can do something after you do a move. If a move "lasts" 40 frames, frame 41 is the first frame you can do something else. Hence. The "first actionable frame" is 41

On hit is available in Ruben's calculator. There are way too many variables for on hit advantage to be reliable in one figure. It could be negative on hit or plus 100

What is the difference between hitlag and hitstun?
@PBLKGaming
@PBLKGaming 4 жыл бұрын
Hit lag is that freeze frame effect that happens as soon as you land a hit Hitstun is the period after being launched by an attack where you can't act, which is what allows combos.
