Sonic's F-Smash: One of the best Sword moves in the game and it isn't even a sword, lmao

Due to superarmor and buffed downangle shieldbreak, I think Little macs fsmash is top 5 fsmash. Better than mario, possibly better than MK and even pikachus.

Little Mac's F-Smash is quite frankly absurd. You get 1 of 3 choices. 1) A frame 14 move with armor that kills absurdly early horizontally that's -16 with a bit of pushback. 2) A frame 14 move with armor that kills vertically early that's -16 on shield. 3) A frame 15 move with armor that breaks shields, deals ludicrous damage (24% uncharged), and is only -13 on shield if it doesn't break the shield. This is a high damage move no matter what and it either has a built in DI mixup with armor that kills or a shield breaker with armor. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the downward version 2-frames. It's easily within the top 5 best F-Smashes in the game imo. It's just attached to Little Mac...

Will you do a tier list on character specific mechanics like float, double jump armour, aura, tough guy and all the others, or just talk about them

I miss Brawl Lucario's fsmash. It had a transcendent (laser) priority hitbox at the end and had a pretty large cone, you could whiff punish sword characters with its size. And it lingers, and has IASA frames...

I’d like to add Pac-Man in top 5, that’s basically a stronger, more unpunishable, lingering Mario f smash but just without the two frame. It’s basically a final smash disguised as a smash attack, I’m surprised Meta Knight got picked over it. MK may have a lagless f smash but it’s pretty hard to hit an opponent regardless unlike Pac-Man’s which you can throw out in neutral and get away with

For me little Mike is definitely top three there's three variations and down tilt to angle down for smash does about 40% which is crazy and his Ford smash kills in mid 30s to 40s at ledge

Mac’s not being in top 5 is actually criminal. It does everything all three directional smash attacks should do all in one move and you can’t basically can’t react to if you can shield it or not. So you can’t beat it, and then you have to take the 50/50 of either jumping and getting up angled or shielding and getting murdered at 10%. Move is seriously good

Sephiroth had a good run so far, being consistently at the top of the list. I definitely use this move too much for my own good. :p Beginning to use short hop fair and f-tilt in neutral more, trying to figure out how to use nair properly, as unlike any grounded attack that isn't a gigaflare (which just kills), it actually has combos. Still struggling against my Sheik main younger brother, who just shields all my attacks and only dies to failed parries. I do win, somehow, a fair amount, but I'm learning.

When these videos are finished I’d love to hear who has the best moves based on these tier lists. Maybe give each tier a point value and add all of them up

You didn’t mention how Banjo’s fsmash can 2 frame. It’s def a harder to use 2 frame than his staples like dilt, dsmash and even Wonder Wing but it’s still useful

Watching this after Shadic top 4'd a major, Corrin's F-smash is going WAY up after that and ESAM would probably agree bc he probably didn't know about the unrollable chainsaw that pretty much guarentees a hit of stuck in shield

Imo bayo's f-smash is horrible It's not strong at all, it's not fast, has horrible end lag to the point where most characters can just drop shield walk up and do anything it's not even active so you can just walk through the arm

Mii brawler is busted at least. It kills insanely early, with a good tech chase, jab lock or read you can change the flow of a match. Or snowball. I agree on all of the tier list.

I disagree. I feel like Little Mac has definitely the best FSmash in the game. It has armor, it's VERY fast, and you can arc it two ways to make it even more effective as a follow up which Peanut has shown to great usage.

I think banjos F smash is underrated its 2 frames slower than mario, pretty safe and has no sweetspot while being strong.

"Pit Fsmash hit twice" yeah... meaning the first hit cancel against most attack including non-transcendant projectiles. And sometimes the second hit doesn't connect.

ZSS would literally be a better character with fsmash removed, 90% of the time it's used its a misinput that'll get you punished, and the other 10% is a paralyzer combo (even though boost kick is always stronger and faster, sometimes we use fsmash just to not stale boost kick). Useless move

Villager fsmash is the safest on shield, is -4 and his jab is frame 3 so is a free shield poke in general, I think is more busted than people think

Mewtwo and bowser do not use their f smashes nearly as much as most of the characters ranked near them or even below them. Bowser’s is really slow and has a lot of endlag…enough to make it only a hard read or hard/free punish tool. Mewtwo’s up smash and down smash are his go tos since his f smash is only situational

As a greninja main I hate the stuff you say, but it’s generally correct. He’s not that good, most people just don’t know the match up. His forward smash two frames tho. Also with lab locks it’s really good.

Links Fsmash is also kinda safe OS. -6/-9 if you count when the first hit can transition second hit of it, so you can mixup not doing the second hit or doing the second hit

"Mario's f-smash is stronger than Dr Mario's f-smash anyway" Mario's f-smash kills later than Dr Mario's (on a sweetspot) thanks to the 1.176x multiplier, afaik. So it's not STRONGER. It's **BETTER** because the sweetpost placement allows Mario to space it, while Dr Mario has to get up-close and personal (thankfully, the latter has extra shieldstun to compensate).

In my opinion, this tier list is perfect except for one thing, and that is Corrin, you are way underrating Corrin`s F-Smash, it is one of the best F-Smashes because you can angle it, it can lock opponents in shield, if you lock them in shield them dropping their shield is a free hit since they cannot roll away (Because they would get hit by the chainsaw hitbox), and if they don't drop shield... its a free shield break for the tipper.

Esam talks about how if marth had normal aerials like lucina he would be much better but shows a sour up air connecting with an f smash. WAT? marth's smash attacks are universally worse than lucina's but his tilts are universally better. Marth's f smash is f'd over by interpolation making the tipper hitbox incredibly janky in shape and incredibly skinny in places. I think lucina's f smash is overrated in general though as it is not particularly strong and it is -31 on shield

I would argue that villager has one of the best forward smashes in the game, as 1, it has no lag and 2 it’s minus 4 on shield. It basically functions as a better meta knight forward smash because of how many uses it has

Lucina/Marth's forward smash isn't as busted as it used to be but it's still a fantastic move and I feel it's underrated here. So fucking fast, big hitbox and kills at stupid percentages.

Honestly I still disagree with Pika, it’s good but way too easy to wiff punish for its speed and not really that strong. Like of course it has it uses on Pika and my experience playing against randoms isn’t enough but the other good forward smash are completely spammable and unpunishable, while this one only occupies an interesting nich, and is made better because Pika. In a vaccum it’s probably not god like

there is a nice window where the projectile on links f smash links into the second hit where the standard first hit would miss. it's great to catch people off guard when they thing they've spaced but still get caught

Minmins F smash is so broken, that if you put her f smash on ANY character and keep their regular aerials and tilts in the game, that character immediately becomes top 3.

I'm not saying that Koopaling f smash is top 5 or anything but i think it's actually better than Pikachu's. Stronger, lingers longer, can angle up and down, safer on shield. Only downsides vs Pika's are sometimes you can fall out of it but it's not that common. It's not like a huge amount better, but just a little bit

ESAM thinking that Pika's F smash is the third best in the game is so weird to me. It has range, but the sour spot is so bad and honestly the sweet spot also feels underwhelming. I'd rather have Mario Chrom or Pac Man F smash than Pika's and I'd honestly put it just below Ridley

Samus's F smash isn't great in a vacuum despite being tied for the second fastest in the game at frame 11, but it is great on Samus's kit just because Bomb ledge trapping and 2 frame possibilities with F smash
