This was genuinely the worst winners bracket path I’ve ever seen for a player. Gluto had to fight tea, into sonix, into shuton, probably his three biggest demons. Then to top it off, if he managed to get through all of them he would’ve had to fight sparg0.

@@Daniel00100 Sonix knows how to be aggressive, he also knows Sonic strength. Sonic is by nature a character who's strength is to out manoeuvre your opponent and use it to camp but he also is great offensively which is what makes him able to beat such strong opponents. He knows when to take the opportunity. Of course the stronger your opponent the less mistake they will make and the campier you'll have to get in a lot of cases, made better or worse depending on the match up. If you look Sonix against Sparg0 the games still go significantly faster. It's still Sonic, though. Sonix is a cool guy though, and I don't think it's fair to blame him for making use of one of the game strongest characters when you are playing competitive. I'd be happy not having any top Sonic player, but if we have to have one I'm happy having Sonix over someone else

And most people complain about Sonic, including top players. Just with the sheer speed and safeness proportionate to the rest of the cast, there’s no way this character isn’t top 2 minimum. And the reason there aren’t a whole lot of Sonic’s either is likely just because of the stigma surrounding the character.
