Mexicans of all ages celebrate their heritage and reaping tasty rewards by smashing open traditional Christmas piñatas during the holiday season. "People want to restructure the social fabric and values lost in families after everything we have been through with the pandemic. I believe that when we break a piñata, we share a moment of happiness and joy," said Maria de Lourdes Ortiz, a piñata artisan. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer has more.

When i was little we would do pinatas all the time at family birthdays. It was savage. You saw people swinging a plastic stick while blind folded at some cousins head. We still ran for the candy tho. Every man for himself

You should try, but remember the funny part is try to hit, meanwhile someone try to make you fail ;) How is that? Well, the piñata must to hang from high with a rope, so another person hold and extreme of the rope and make the piñata up and down playing to avoid the hits. Just remember is better if you do it in an open space and nobody must to be close to the guy with the stick (don’t use bat)

I went to two different birthday parties where the kid had a pinata when I was a kid and I never got to even take a swing on one. I was kind of the bigger kid so they would take one look at me and tell me to get to the back of the line. I never got to break one and I always wanted to.
