Not gon hold you, DOA lost this one. After MONTHS of calling out Cold Steel and trash talking, They got smashed.After finally seeing them battle each other, I can say that Cold Steel is the better of the two. They got the cadences, the energy, the skill, and the showmanship. I've seen DOA battle many other drumlines with so much confidence, but it wasn't there this time. And last but not least: Cold Steel talked shit to their face. DOA talked shit after Cold Steel already left the gym. That right there speaks for itself.

This definitely could’ve went on a little longer but DOA was OK as always, but there’s just something about that Cold Steel energy that I’ll always love. 😅 great job both lines.

😂 Cold Steel smashed DOA.. smh . All that talk DOA been doing they definitely didn’t live up to it. They seemed intimidated and thirsty in this battle. Their faces showed it. Cold Steel had confidence and just did them. Next level 💯

All that crying and begging for a battle DOA did toward Cold Steel and this is what they gave....they were ok but they def weren't ready for CS. Tune them drums next time too.

Loved seeing all these Red Smoove percussionists from TW Andrews leading both collegiate drum lines at NC A&T and NCCU. Shout out to both groups for bringing great energy and musicianship to an event that is now considered the best indoor drumline competition on the East coast 🙌🏾🥂

I'm Ⓜ️SD so I'm not bias. Actually thought DOA was gone take this battle from things I've seen previously but boy was I wrong. Cold Steel got in yall ass frfr lol. DOA section leader with the dreads was all kinda flustered like he aint ever been in a real battle before and let them get in his head. Ncat for the win

All I have to say being a Bongo Brother from Marching 101 is DOA keep practicing you’ll get there. Back in the day (‘81-‘84) Coldsteel always lost to us until the movie “Drumline” came out, then they thought it was about them, now I have to say they have their stuff together. Now I say MDFS is number 1, Coldsteel number 2, DOA number 3, Benedict number 4, Bongo Brothers number 5, FAMU number 6, BCU number 7, Howard and Hampton number 8. Southern, Jackson, and Grambling drumlines can’t really rate them yet.

Cold Steel has more complex rudiments and timing which makes cadences harder but NOA had a cleaner Cadence and better groove in the first standoff in my opinion.

DOA was a little sloppy at times with the snares. Every stick movement needs to be together. But they were still good. Cold steel were together you can tell they play with each other and try to mimic the next man movement. The only college that give them hell is Norfolk. It’s always a good battle with those two! Cold steel for the win though!

In high school we played everything coldsteel played it was easy and fun great for crowds as a member of D.O.A it was all about skill which made me better but I always hated the way we tuned our drums
