Used this product on my CBR1000 RR Fireblade from Austin to Dallas, and back again in my Tundra Platinum 4x4. Worked like a dream. Make sure you use the anti-vibration stabilizer, it's beyond important that individual piece is installed correctly on the trailer hitch, or else your vehicle will bounce up and down like kids in a playhouse on the street. Heck, without it there is no way you could do 50 mph. I was hauling, hitting 95mph at a few points...which means I don't loose time traveling great distances. I love this thing. Only caveat, since it's hundreds of pounds added to the total weight of the vehicle there is extreme drag resulting in higher fuel consumption. For my V8, I calculated a loss of 20 - 23 total miles per fill up (25 gall tank normally nets 17 miles per gallon)

Bet you could slide another piece of square tubing down the cycle carrier tube and gain some extra strength. My Honda Silverwing weighs around 551 pounds wet plus the junk I carry. I 12" piece of square tube or even a piece of angle iron would provide enough strength to support a little extra weight.

I just sold my bike and it fit on this but the new bike is a Harley DYNA and 670lb total. I wonder if your logic will work or will I need to buy a new one and try to sell this one since it’s a 600lb limit. Any thoughts?

Did you scratch the fronts of your fairings using this produce? I can see visible dark marks where the chock may have come into contact with the bike.

Is this hitch capable to carry a 2017 BMW R1200 GSA Adventure bike? This bike weighs approx. 580lbs ready to ride. Thanks for any info/suggestions. Sure would love to bring my big BMW GSA along on some short camping trips! (FYI: mounting on a 3/4 Ton Suburban and/or our Blubird Camping Bus!)

Can you install the chock/ramp on the other side? To make it easier for a short guy to hold the brake lever :)

Unfortunately the chock and ramp are not designed to be interchangeable.

@@discountramps Thanks, to clarify I meant if the load platform can be rotated to the other side so the bike can be loaded from the drivers side?

@@jeffbarnard348 with the placement of the wheel chock, the ramp cannot be used from the driver's side.

I know it's 4 years late, but their reply to you was wrong. You could absolutely bolt the carrier unit onto the main hitch tube in the other direction when assembling everything, which would allow you to load it from the driver's side.

Yea I would like to know that too. Seems like it would not make any difference, but all the websites and videos show only a street bike on this carrier.

CheerX9087 I'm 60 and I installed it on my own. Multiple ways to do so. Set the back end on the ground and tilt up the hitch tube end, rest it partially on the hitch receiver tube and the lift and slide from the backend. However I just picked up and slid it in.
