SMCO Classic mini rear tow eye

Whether you need a tow on the track or just need a little help getting back home, a rear tow hook can definitely come in handy.

Our tow hooks are cut from 3/16" HRPO (A36) mild steel plated in yellow zinc for longevity. Installation starts at the 1/2" hole on the classic mini rear sub-frame, then two 11/32" holes will need to be drilled on both sides.
A pair of tow hooks can be installed on both sides of the car if running a center exit exhaust.
Flanged nylock nuts and bolts and washer are included, as shown in pictures below. The drill-bit however is not supplied.

Could have used this about 1 year ago. I had my mini towed and they guy beng the subframe. I then found tow eyes online and had to make them work. Yours look great.

The front tow eyes are everywhere... They replace the front subframe to front panel bolt and are even in stainless and aluminium. The problem has always been a rear tow eye.

Why not put the big bolt in from the bottom with the nut on top. I know it would be a bit more difficult to maneuver, but then all three bolt would be going in the same direction. OK, so maybe I am a bit anal retentive.

I would probably put them all in from the top. That way the bolt would be held in place, and the torquing force would be on the nuts, rather than turning the bolt in against the bracket. Not anal retentive, just OCD.
