They should try and get the numbers up by giving gems for the fist 2 to 3 gams per day to get more players back. I personal feel like they should reduce the cc effectiveness in the game and probably change all hard cc and damaging agilitys that aren't ultimats. At the moment it is almos you get hit by cc and you die.

With regards to the gods dealing only one type of damage you didn't read their explanation and did the very thing you were complaining about other people doing (not reading tooltips). They weren't saying they were considering doing away with being able to build both int and str. They were just saying that gods would always deal a particular type of damage while their scaling could be different or mixed. That way you are laning against a Neith and know that you need to build physical protections even if the Neith is going for an int build. I think that is at least worth exploring. It certainly helps when you are trying to counter build early in the game.

Based on other MOBAs, and hearing Incon talk on this topic from a few other videos, that is very much so a part of what he, (and other people, myself included) are worried about changing. Sure, it still means build variety is higher than the original Smite, but it means there is still no more variety to counter-builds, which is a huge part of most other successful MOBAs. And I think being able to build both magical and physical power, but then only doing one or the other, is just as confusing as being able to build both, and do both types of damage as well.

And to add on, that isn't me trying to downplay you, just clarifying. And Smite will still be one of the more simple MOBAs in terms of League or Dota, and even after only playing one or two of the very janky Smite 2 Betas, I am so tired of the original Smite's lack of build variety for both as just the god you are playing, and in terms of counter-building, I would actually drop Smite 1 this moment to have 24/7 Smite 2 beta in its current form.

The vast majority of people I have talked to (who are not pros) really enjoy the 9.5 revert cause it feels like old Smite. I feel like most of the distain for the revert is coming Incon, Twig, and Reddit. Thats pretty much all I have seen.

@@jomaroal22 If you’re referring to 9.5-11.5 I agree that era of Smite was awful not only to play but to watch. The reason I like Smite back in 2013 was because it felt fast paced.

The revert might have been good, but it didn't change the fact that the snowball meta is out of control, and many games are over in 10 to 15 minutes.

@@TheWoolyninja4 maybe that’s your games but I’d say around %65-70 of my game go to 25-30 minutes.

@MrMoe32 They don't go 10 to 15 minutes they go longer but are generally determined by that point. If you are down by over 5k by 15 minutes, you can probably just call it 90% of the time.

Every single person who is mad about the release date is an idiot. They NEED to take the time to make this right. If they don’t the entire company is doomed. Do you really want Hi-Rez to release Fallout 76?

I've had some ideas... keep smite one free to play and make smite 2 a payed full game. Have the players meet on the battlefield level zero and hit level one at the first wave of minions Have the minions come out in different formations. Buff timers increased to make more of a strategy to use them for greater objectives.

No, steam forces a game to have a release date besides fringe cases like pre-orders. It was a placeholder "hopefully by then" date.

When he said "hopefully by 2025" he 100% meant "EARLY 2025". There's no way the Open Beta would be delayed by a whole year unless everything literally exploded at Hi-Rez resulting in them starting from scratch.

I honestly think they made the recent changes to smite via the revert knowing most casual players would hate it and just embrace smite 2 to pump the number of players on smite 2 compared to smite 1.

SMITE 2 is looking to be a dud. I felt like the Gold gain was already MUCH faster than SMITE, and they're making it even faster. Great... On top of that every MOBA seems to be going the route of there are no roles only melee or ranged damage dealers. I loath this trend and Hi-Rez is just eating it up. Faster TTK = Less skill expression. I don't like getting killed by a guy jumping out of a bush in less than 2 maybe 3 seconds tops. When there's no chance to react to the ambush and out play that player it just feels bad. I'm not saying they shouldn't be rewarded for ambushing someone like that, but that the receiving end player should have enough breathing room to make a play in response.

Smites player base is declining because hi-Rez has handled the whole smite 2 transition/game announcement horrendously. That’s why I stopped playing, and that’s why lots of my friends stopped playing. They are monetizing everything (founders pass, crappy battle passes, mediocre skins, etc) they seemed to stop caring about balance in smite 1, they got rid of the SPL, they hid the smite 2 announcement for a year while pumping out tier 5 skins for people to buy for no reason, they refused to add cross progression for PlayStation saying “its not possible right now” and yet now they are adding it to smite 2. So all of us that wanted to make the switch to pc, or did make the switch got screwed out of those legacy gems. Overall hi-Rez has just been disappointing.

Relax it's literally not that serious, as far as cross play goes some games literally can't be altered to add it. It's like rollback, I know it sucks but relax. It's damn video game you're going to play regardless.

@@BROke4209 incorrect, I will not be playing. I have no intention of playing any more smite. I’m not gonna cry my self to sleep over it, but in my opinion that is 100% why they are losing players. You can say it’s not but their player base is at a 6 year low, that happened for a reason.

Game is already killing itself. I was so excited to try different builds of Strength or Intellect to see how certain abilities and Characters would react but now that they are already talking about making characters one stat priority again my hype is beginning to die
