SMITE: BEST Gods for Rangda's Mask

Rangda's Mask was finally fixed last patch and now no longer loses its effect upon death. As such, this video will analyze which impact this will have especially for midlaners/mages and junglers/assassins and who really makes good use of the effects.

Why the fuck haven't we gotten more clan shit? Like have a built in tournament feature. That works similar to FaceIt. We could also have more skin rewards or recall fx. Or even clan boarders to rep your clan in the loading screen. :P

DukeSloth How good would building both bumbas and rangdas mask because both are 500 gold so you would have enough to build them with boots and 2 hp and 2 mana pots

Yeah the double mask start is the one I use on Awilix. Hard to judge really how good that is since the elo reset and she's my best character anyway (I'm on console so I haven't really gotten to sink my teeth into S4 yet)

I personally like Rangda's Mask on Ares in gamemodes outside conquest since movement, CD, and pen are three stats that Ares want and can get the stacks pretty quickly off of assists. Worth noting though that he has the same issue as Na Zha. It works a lot better when playing from ahead.

I think evolving items are a cool idea but this one is really bad. Too many stacks/ too hard to get with low late game stats.

Alakazzam09 Yep. You need to get at least 4 kills and hope your team will give you assists in case you can't find more kills.

It depends if you're playing in ranked or with casual players. I never tried ranked but i know in conquest you can stack very easily if you're jgler

I love using Rangda's mask on sylvanus because its really amusing to see a tank outrun the junglers in late game, I pissed off so many people on the enemy team doing that. I run so fast since I have the rod of acaliptis and Shield of healing... Press 2 and you are faster than a Mercury

if we take Joust in consideration Rangda's mask is really good item with combination of Sands of time for Zeus as starter items , the corridors in Joust are narrow so Zeus can get a lot of kills early game and with the Chronos pendant as 2nd item after Pen boots the stacks will be filled really quick

I usually get it in solo if im ahead and can rotate in the mid lane. I also love in on guardians since im a pretty good support I get a lot of assists fairly quickly to get the stacks. plus the cdr, movement, and pen is something we all love on supports.

I just ran Arachne with Rangda and Bumba and It works hard core... The extra movement plus pen and cooldown means she has added pressure from early to late. You have to keep up the pressure or it could fall off pretty easily. Situational, but it is a pain to the enemy team.

I like ratatoskr with it because he can upgrade his boots/nut anywhere so u still be caught up damage/stat wise early game even though he could have something else

I was in a game where jakomalfoy(on the other team) got it on Thor support and stacked it in ~12 minutes before my team promptly surrendered.

Gavin Bronk I actually like where she is rn. she has more aggressive potential and her 1s utility is really good. her tick heals are actually nice and her damage output now is impeccable. now is she meta material, no, but is she fun to play in casual and ranked, yes. I have been playing her alot lately and she is fine. just did her in solo and I actually won against a wu Kong in gold ranked so I think she is fine rn. that is my opinion not dukesloth but I just wanted to get a discussion goin.

Ghettolittleturtle son wokuong is kind of the less bully warrior right now. to low damage. i like her 1 in dark stance becouse it explode at the end, so you can poke reliabily whit it and not try to do a skill shot all the time. she still suffer for mana and her 1 dont full clear at any lvl so ...

Gavin Bronk I like hel, I always have, however she is never going to be good unless she gets buffed in a major way, she is also easily out matched, outclassed and, bullied too much, she can easily be sat on and can just lose the game for the team, she also never really shines in a game as her early is bad, and her mid and late are ok, but never outstanding, hopefully she gets another buff soon as it's seems all the others gods are better than her and she has just been forgotten

Gavin Bronk Okay so the first time I touched hel was after her change and I have been playing her non stop, I even got her to diamond now and tbh it's the same thing guettolittleturtle said "Is she on the meta now? no" she can be more aggressive but now you need to think when you are going to do something with her; she can be extremely powerful but if you fall behind you are going to struggle a lot

I like it on mercury in in clash, you build the stacks more easily in that mode and you don't need bumbas. but I agree with not building it conquest on him

oliver mcevoy You can go for 2 defensive items (Mantle of Discord + Winged Blade/Spirit Robe or Breastplate of Valor+Bulwark of hope) and still deal high amounts of damage while being pretty tanky, tbh I would build at least one defensive item on him due to the free protection shred on his 2 and his overall great damage.

I think Rangda's is an item that will mostly benefit gods that have trouble getting to their full build - which would be mages and guardians, but because the item has no defensive stats aside from movement speed its hard to justify purchasing for guardians, and with Bumba's being better for mid laners its just hard to see this item being used all that often.

I think Rangda's mask is much better on supports. It stacks on assists and support builds take much longer to get the full build, so you have longer to stack and you can also take assists in multiple lanes, plus all the status of the item are good for supps and the mp5 a the start makes spamming abilities early much easier. Since you don't have many itens to pick after Watcher's gift and bumba's mask is not good because you won't be clearing camps on your own. In the games I played with it, I managed to stack it fully before finishing my fifth item counting watcher's and rangda's.

Wait... Fenrir, a ability reliant, high single target damage, high mobility assassin, doesn't need penetration that much? I hope you mean that the item provides little penetration, and isn't worth it because of that, and not that Penetration is a unnecessary tool for Fenrir.

I wouldn't pick Rangdas in the pro scene since these games tend to be void of actually impactful PVP for the most part whereas farming is much more important in the grand scheme of things, thus, Bumbhas would make a far more attractive and lucrative choice. That aside, if one wants to buy Rangdas, the Item is still not bad even without the stacks. The 5mp/5 give a bit more sustain on the field, whereever you are and once you have the first effect, which is somewhat likely to happen, you got good value out of it. Ideally, you want to build this Item on someone who allows for aggressive playstyles and somewhat secure kills for the most part. Poseidon wasn't a bad call, but someone like Thor would arguably benefit a lot from it as well. During PTS, I had one very good mercury who bought it every game and carried every game he was in. He is of course also a fairly good case because he gets more benefits out of the MS the item provides.

Hay just a minor thing, do you think in future item reviews you could, I don't know, maybe actually tell us what the item does. The whole video is about gaining the items stacks, which obviously is the focus, but telling us what the stacks do and what the items flat stats are would be great.
