Welcome back, great reaction to a beautiful song and an amazing performance. Most of their songs (unless they are just fun) carry a positive and uplifting message. In this instance even when you are in the darkest place (you recognised the Ragnarok reference) and you can't possibly go any lower things will change - "No matter how long the night, the morning will arrive". They will illuminate this dark world with rainbow colours.🌈🦊 I absolutely agree about Su-metal's vocals ... and unlike those other singers who try to sound like the album she is even better live. BABYMETAL have song writers and composers. If you find the credits for their songs you will see the same names appear on all the albums. The PIA Arena is in Yokohama, Japan. This was the second of the two BABYMETAL Begins concerts they played there. Momometal was revealed as the third member of the "new" BABYMETAL at the end of the first night, so this was her first concert as an official member .... and Su-metal calling Moametal and Momometal across to her to see all the lights was the first time she was called by name - another special moment.

What I've read is when Babymetal were playing early on and were very young. Having the band on the stage was a form of physical/spirtual support. Knowing the guys were back three for them. As they've grown and matured the focus has fallen more on Babymetal-which is-at last-the three ladies again. Babymetal's music has been written by a number of different composers. "Monochrome" was: Miki Watanabe - lyrics Takehiro Mamiya - music Takehiro also wrote the music for "Karate" and "Megitsune". Su did write the lyrics for "Divine Attack".

The music and arrangement for 'Monochrome' is by YUPPEMETAL (Takehiro Mamiya). The lyrics are by MK-METAL (Miki Watanabe). YUPPEMETAL worked on 'Rondo of Nightmare', 'Karate', 'Yava!', 'GJ!', 'Sis.Anger', 'From Dusk Till Dawn', 'Kagerou' and 'Believing'. MK-METAL contributed lyrics for 'Megitsune', 'Gimme Chocolate!!', 'Awadama Fever', 'Yava!', 'Amore', 'No Rain, No Rainbow', 'Brand New Day', 'Kagerou', 'Time Wave' and 'Light and Darkness'. BTW, even though it's in all caps, it's PIA Arena, not P.I.A. Arena. The venue is in Yokohama, Japan.

I was at PIA Arena for this performance and it was nothing short of magical. Easily the best concert I have ever been to. If you ever get the chance to go to Japan to see Babymetal live, do it. It's unlike any other concert experience you will have.

BABYMETAL just released a new live of BxMxC from the Blu-ray of their Legend MM concert, I would recommend that.

Yes!! You hit the nail. To me, this is like opera. I've actually expressed myself in these terms sometimes. When I go to see them live I'm not going to see a just band standing there playing and singing. I go to see a show. And this is what they do. And no matter how big the production is, it's always a great experience. Of course, big productions like this have an additional value for the spectacle thanks to the stage setup ,the light and laser show, the pyro, etc. 🤘🦊

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I witnessed this very performance at the venue where and when Momoko was inducted into BABYMETAL officially. Yes, she had a headset mic for the first time like Moa has done since BM's inception. I sang the ♪ oh oh ohoo ♪ part with Momometal with my loudest voice in the show holding my phone. What a bliss! The flying drones with cameras that enabled the beautiful aerial cinematograph were manipulated by experts including Ms. Shiraishi. She is a member of team Japan for World Drone Racing Championship. As you may know Western (American) Kami Band played in the girls' back. They have supported BABYMETAL since 2019. Japanese fans always appreciate the devoted support like knights by Chris, CJ, Anthony, Clint and Ryan. They are really unsung heroes.

Great reaction! Love what you said about Su’s vocals, I absolutely agree. This song is amazing, but may be a bit too “heavy” for the holidays lol. It’s about facing a disaster (Monochrome fireworks), where there is loss (Star/Loved one’s warmth that vanishes), and wondering what tomorrow will hold (colors of the night sky?). Finally, the protagonist realizes that even at the end of the world (Ragnorak), and no matter how long the night, morning will come, so JUST SMILE! 🤘🦊

Even though I didn't really discover them until the end of 2022, I went through all their work and I've adored all of it. I think its really cool to see the evolution of the dance, as well as Su's improvement (she was always great, now she's a superstar in my view). Early on, obviously the idea was founded on child like over the top cutesy dancing and singing on top of truly heavy metal. Now, the relentless energy is still there but the dancing has evolved with their age. More tight quick technical movements mixed with truly graceful movements, without really sacrificing the "kawaii" element they were founded on.

Monochrome is another beautiful track from latest album, it was the 2nd single released in November 2022 and there's an official lyrics video really cool if you wanna enjoy the studio album version, later in 2023 right before this concert you just saw they released the Piano Version at The First Take surprising everyone with another stunning and beautiful one off stripped down version. The lyrics got some Norse mythology reference and when the lyrics vid came out there were many theories around, later they said they were surprised about it and saying they just wanna give a hopeful song. Here's some official info: _"One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is MONOCHROME and this 2nd pre-release digital single “Monochrome” centers around this theme. From the eyes of the children, what color were the monochrome fireworks lighting up in the night sky? They got this magical moment when performing live in every setlist they did throughout the recent World Tour 2023/2024 and they're keep rocking with this song everywhere they go.
