Smoke testing the S Type R intake - Restricted performance

Since i've had the S Type R on the road, i've have an intermittant restricted performance flash up on the dash. The stored codes indicated an intake air leak so i ordered a smoke test machine to see if i could find the leak.

Brake booster seal to the throttle body. I made a video replacing that plastic seal. Very very common. Over time it becomes dry rotted an cracks.

Yeah. I'd had that pipe out when I replaced the valley pipe and disturbed it. It's ok at the moment but will need to replace the seal at some point. Maybe at the same time as a smaller blower pulley

I might've missed it but what has been the main driving issue? My str stops accelerating at 80mph and the supercharger keeps spinning like crazy 😂

Hi thanks for your question. I used to just get restricted performance from about 30mph

i had this issue with my 03 str so first started throwing coils codes i replaced 3 of the failing coils and still throw same codes and o2 sensor but everytime i took my car to autozone they recomend me to replace coils first that didnt solve the prolem took it to specialist they me about vacum leak but i did research online on jaguar forums and i was recomend to replace the o2 sensor which i did then check engine light went off and the restricted performance to ,, but before that bought the denso sensor from autozone it didnt solve the issue cuz the sensor came bad so i had to return it twice ,, so before thinking about vacuin leak i have those codes missfire and o2 sensor replese sensor first it may solve the issue

@@tayso5276 hey well everything was good but I don’t have the car any more planning to buy me one 06 str so my recommendation if you have issues with jags don’t go to dealers or specialists mech just go to jaguar forums you’ll get better answers and helps there

This models engine bay looks like a headache.they stuffed everything in the very back lol

@@MarksWheels Paul must have a mental problem because I'm American and I usually have a hard time understanding accents but I understand you on all of your videos. People love being pricks.
