Wonderful video! I have some questions, for a short time I have a jaguar s-type 4.0 v8 from 2001, and I do not know if some things of its operation are abnormal, the fact is that with the car stopped when I move the lever for D, N, R I feel how a pretty strong shake sometimes is that normal? The other is that when driving, for example, when leaving a traffic light, it advances correctly but when it changes gears it feels when it changes slightly and especially when it makes the first change from 1 to 2 speed, the rest are practically negligible, should I be concerned?

It sounds like you need a reset of the gearbox control Module (jaguar dealer only) and/or a gearbox oil change (no, it is not lifetime if by that you mean more than 4 years).

I know all the focus is on the S-Type R tuning and at some point I will get one...but any chance on having something for our regular S-Type V6?! I know I would love to squeeze a little bit more HP from mine! Since there are more regular S-type made, I imagine there would be quite some interest too. Aloha 🤙

Hi there, We basically concentrate on the vehicles we get asked for most. Our next one on the list is the V12 for arguments sakes. We get asked regularly if we can come up with a package for them. We can tune the V6 on its original ECU of course. We'd hit the limits of the OEM ECU when we started talking Superchargers etc though. Pop Tom an e-mail if you like, express your interests. Hi, I’ve a Jaguar XF sv8, looking to tune it… don’t you think it’s a very underpowered engine? Compared to Audi 4.2 420bhp naturally aspirated engine, seems the 4.2 is only capable of 490-500bhp but the 5ltr can get 650bhp plus and rb26 engines pushing over 1000bhp Shouldn’t 700bhp be possible from this engine?

Good day all the way from Africa,,,,,,tell me,,,,,did you ever complete this package and installation,,,,,,,the reason I ask is because I'm thinking of buying a S Type R and shipping it to Africa,,,,,,,it would be nice to have such a package pre-installed before it's shipped

Did the car run and drive without the standalone ecu? Could it be driven without it?

You can bypass the 'Neutral Switch', and it will start and run, but in 'Limp mode', consistently.

@Tuning Shed really appreciate the reply. Was there any real reason it was in limp mode? Why would it default to limp mode? Gathered a lot of parts to do this before swallows did with 2.7 gearbox and pedal box but never actually did it. Only just come across your good video.

@@TuningShed yea first step would be to bridge neutral to avoid it thinking its not it park so wouldn't run

@@MDW893 CAN faults mainly. The PCM cannot communicate with the TCM, as it's not there. It automatically puts it into limp mode.
