***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out new videos every week! We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

They look so good and it makes me think, what about taking it a step further and making smoked deviled eggs. OR smoked egg salad. Putting these on a salad. Wow. How about...smoked jalapeno pickled eggs... the possibilities are limitless. They would be an amazing addition to a charcuterie board. Thank you Kevin, I will be looking into getting one of those tubes for my grill.

Mini egg quiche from quail eggs is always popular. I mix up rhe eggs, salt and pepper, pour into a mini muffin tin. I use 1.5 eggs per hole. I do some with crumbled sausage, crumbled bacon and some just eggs. Then top all with cheese.

I have been doing nerdy quail math with you for a few years now. We just moved to the ozarks and this motivated me to get quail on our homestead quicker than we originally expected. This looks like an amazing way to deal with the abundance you often have of quail eggs. And that egg peeler wow my wife and i were in awe of such a time saver. Thanks for the great vodeo and all the great ideas.

I bought one because of your video, thank you. It does make peeling quail eggs so much easier. Mine came with instructions that said to keep the peeler wet. I have a very small water pump, so I Jimmy rigged it so that it would be over the top of say, a bigger ball and the water could just go down into the bottom to recycle itself while peeling. I also found putting a bowl at the end and slightly tilting the peeler, so the eggs roll off into the bowl automatically with a little bit of water in there they'll swish around and wash whatever small shells off.

A nice restaurant near me "Phatsy Kline's" makes "Quail Egg Shooters". The whites are removed and the raw yolks are put back in the shell with a little bit of black truffle oil and shoyu soy sauce, and served with a shot of Sake. They are so delicious. I think egg yolk really helps bring out the flavor of black truffle oil. The "Quail Egg Shooters" probably have the most positive feedback on Yelp reviews on their menu. I have made them myself a few times, IF I ever can get fresh quail eggs.

Hi Kevin and Sarah! Love to watch that peeler peel the quail eggs. I will have to try that method on some regular eggs. Thanks for the ideas. QUESTION: Do you find the Swerve brown sugar really sweet? I have to use half of what they call for in a recipe when I use the brown sugar so my recipe isn't overly sweet. Maybe just my taste buds. Take care! Blessings to all!

I literally just steamed some eggs on my lunch break to make deviled eggs tonight for a party. Once I tried the steaming method, I've never gone back to boiling them. They peel easily, the small amount of water doesn't take long to boil and then just 15 minutes on the timer and they're done. No more waiting around for a full pot to boil. And I will never forget the time I fell asleep and woke to exploding eggs because my pot of water had boiled away. 😲
