It seems that the last pellet grill was the Z grills and Chuddly said that he would give his honest opinion 16 seconds in kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g55nZKiEm7O-epc.html But no mention of it being broken on arrival ? Is this an actual test of the grill or the meat end result ? I am confused, it seems to be both combined, but you don't learn a lot about the actual hardware they have sent.... I'm guessing this is an amuse busche to an offset but gets views and a few $$

Awesome video, as usual. Pizzas are amazing in these smokers, especially when you add wood chunks for the smoke, they really mimic a wood fired pizza oven flavor.

I would like to see more of your reviews, insights and tests on what that pellet grill will do and I am sure it will help us out with our cooks, there has to be a ton of us with pellet grills. I got me an Oklahoma Joe offset and a Weber Kettle that I am trying to develop my skills at, but as a workin shift work full time the pellet grill comes in handy for some easy cooks when the time needed for fire management isn’t there. That looks like a nice grill😊

Bradley, thanks for all the work you do! I have a large offset as well as a pellet grill and there are some things that the pellet grill does very well with little effort and the need to feed the fire every few minutes. I've even experimented with brisket, and while it's not the same, I was able to get some sleep that night. :)

Yeah my Komodo can easily go all night without maintenance but the smoke flavor isn't as strong as a offset even with huge amounts of wood in it. Also forget things like jerkey there isn't enough airflow or smoke and it keeps things too moist n juicy

I didn't know pretzels were supposed to be baked at a high heat. I'm used to a soft preztel being soft inside and out. The missed opportunity here was the ability to make SMOKED pretzels. That means keeping the pellet grill low (300) and bake for a longer period. Anyone who thinks you can't get any smoke flavor out of a pellet grill hasn't made any baked good with a pellet grill. You can get ashtray levels of smoke flavor, if that's what you're in to.
@JamieStuff

What most people think of as pretzels are actually bread sticks. The "pretzel" place in the mall doesn't do the caustic soda (lye) dip, so they aren't truly pretzels.

Great job Bradley. I would like a lot more content for the pellet grill. I love the convenience of my upscale pellet grill, but it didn't make the last brisket come out the way yours did on the offset. I guess I need to understand what mix of equipment I need in the back yard to cook everything. Watching you and bearded butcher and some other folks that have all of the MEAT stuff for sausage making convinced me to fully equip for that task. Harvesting wild boar and deer now to go with my grass fed beef for sausage.

As someone who would love to do an offset stick burner, I have to say the pellet grill allows me to do 90 percent of it while allowing me to do what I need to do elsewhere. For short cooks, it isn't as much of an advantage as it is on long, 6-18 hours cooks. By not having to fiddle with the fire, I can do my normal weekend duties or SLEEP knowing the temperature is gonna do what it needs to without my input. If something does go wrong, I have it set up so it alerts me on my phone, as well as allowing me to see the progress of the cook. Give it a chance man, it is a highly underappreciated segment of the market that is just ripe for a professional like yourself to educate us on. P.S., just a thought, you could work on a pellet fired offset smoker......... think about it. You already make the stickburner, now you could work on figuring out how to best get that smoke flavor transferred by a pellet, so many questions, does it not transfer because the heat is directly under the meat, does it not transfer because the fire pot is much smaller, what is the reason?

Here in central Texas a pellet grill is a must have tool in your kit. Just because the oven heats up the house too damn much. Pretty much anything you can bake you can do it on a pellet grill. You just don’t get a ton of smoke flavor above 250° ish.
