THIS IS A HUNTING VIDEO. VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED.
Australia is in drought with much of the country craving water, on fire or both. Join us as we try and drag a few foxes into the whistle both during the day and night. The dry smokey conditions were certainly challenging not only for us but also for our emergency services. I take my hat off to those that have their feet on the ground fighting these fires.
Foxes and feral cats are responsible for the falling numbers of many of our native animals some to the point of extinction. Stock loss caused from these animals as well as the ever growing issue of wild dogs in certain areas is of growing concern. Action that may seem harsh to some is a necessity if we are to keep things under control. This is a great example of ethical hunting in Australia. Great to see only pest animals killed, and unique Australian fauna left alone. Some people have no understanding of how much damage foxes do to the unique Australian animals. There's a massive amount of pest animals to hunt here in Australia some body should market hunting/culling expeditions for overseas shooters.

man, that farmer's doing it tough. pretty dry looking and lots of issues with fence wrecking creatures, and others eating his livestock feed. then there's fire. great video, felt like I was there. Last bush fire we've had, the place was crawling with creatures from the bush, deer, pigs etc.

Hi Guys, now that you have had the T2 fox whistle for a little while.....what are your impressions of it and have they changed from the first time you used it...??? I have a T2 but haven't had a chance to use it yet...!! Great vid, can't wait for more...!

The T2 is still going strong and very much my preferred choice at the moment. We only have two and Leigh's T2 has closed up a little in the Tenterfield section. Nothing a little bit of heat won't fix. Other than that, all good.

Always use the tightest chokes I can. 42gr loads of BB’s and or #2 shot is the go for foxes👍👍

I think you will be happy with that little whistle. In general, the best months for whistling foxes are usually over the summer period in my experience. The worst? There really isn't a time that you shouldn't have a crack with the whistle as you just never know. Some days they are on and some days you will just see them walk off while you are whistling. Just keep having a go would be my advice with illusion being the key. You want to bring them toward your position without giving your exact location away. The good thing about whistling is you can do it all day and sometimes you will see them yawning as you have woken them out of sleep. It all depends on how hungry they are and the amount of competition. Thanks for watching.

Lightforce 240 Halogen on the vehicle but I personally was shining the Olight M3XS-UT Javelot torch which IMO is just as good.

Trolls like yourself never cease to amaze me with their ignorance of the facts. Cruel? The devastation caused by the introduced fox on our native species in Australia is far closer than what any real hunter wants to inflict on any animal in my experience. The only thing that would be cruel is if we sat back and did nothing about it. Do everyone a favour. Educate yourself at least a little on the issue and come back to all of us with an alternative answer to the problem. I wait with anticipation. Well Steve, When all the small birds and animals are dying from the drought Mr Fox is tipping around getting fat on the corpses . 2009>2010 here in EIRE we had =14 degrees . Small birds falling down from the trees frozen solid . Charlie as we call him here strolling along the hedgerows filling his belly. Fat as fools the foxes were So fat that they couldend out run my lurchers.

Mate have only ever seen 1 Albino Fallow in the wild every year for 5 years she would show up. The property owner never wanted her shot she just mixed in amongst his cattle for 3 months and then she would up and leave. Her last year she was seen for about 3 weeks before she went missing I was asked if I knew anything about it and I didn't I was told it's bad luck to shoot a white deer to which 1 cocky replied yeah bad luck for the deer, Would love to see another 1 now that I have a much better camera.

I can understand feral species being invasive, but if they're such a problem why did it take so long to find one? I mean here in America we can find a Pig in 2 seconds

That is because we do our job well and continually hunt these properties to keep the numbers down. Sometimes they are interested in the whistle and other times they are a little hesitant. Not too hard to understand really. Thanks for watching.

We are far from trophy hunters either but controlling the fox population in Australia has now become a necessity. An initiative backed by our government to involve recreational hunters to help protect our endangered native species.
