Could you do a walk around on the things youve done it to I'm looking at buying one and kinda want to know how you got it to that point

Where did you find the valve springs? I have an 1105 That I'm playing around with. Have a turbo for it and I'm planning to possibly have some pump and injector work done!

www.iceman-motorsports.com/ This is who I got the valve springs from. If you have the dimensions, you may also be able to get them from one of the big racing valve train companies like Ferrea.

Have you guys ever milled down the pistons a bit to lower the compression ratio so you can run more boost?
@farmallgray6 жыл бұрын
They have to have the valve pockets cut deeper if you get the cam reground so the valves don't hit the pistons. Some guys do go further to lower the compression.

What did u do on the front weighted pully it's causing me a great deal of stress trying to mount the radiator can I cut it in half on the band saw thanks DM central MO
@farmallgray8 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't cut it in half. mine is intact. I just made a guard around it. Either move your grill forward or move the engine back or use a smaller radiator.

The pulley needs to be there for engine balance unless you get the flywheel rebalanced to compensate for it.

I love the frame on that tractor! What model is it?
@farmallgray7 жыл бұрын
it is pieced together from many different models. The 582 would probably be most similar but a lot of modifications have been made.

Yes, a D1105.

What sort of stuff has been done to it?
@farmallgray8 жыл бұрын
Reground cam, port & polish, stronger valve springs, reworked pump and injectors, turbo, etc. Same things they do to big tractors.
@hunterjaybird_11917 жыл бұрын
How much did all that cost?
@farmallgray7 жыл бұрын
it really depends on how much you can do yourself. if you had to pay someone to do all the work it would easily be in the $5000 range to get an engine built.

farmallgray you know now that I've been in this for a while that's not bad at all, I've seen people sink $6-$7k in a methanol pro stocker or twin. I hope to be able to compete with you guys one day. I spent some time around a few diesel guys in spring field last year and you guys are a blast! On Facebook especially! Lol

What did u do on the steering
@farmallgray8 жыл бұрын
I moved the steering gear back and lengthened the drag link. You may also be able to stretch the frame depending on your rules. usually the max wheelbase is 56".

How many RPMS are you turning
@farmallgray8 жыл бұрын
I don't know for sure. Probably 6000. I haven't got a tach to work right on it yet.
