Brinly garden plow common mistake

Жыл бұрынHere is a very common mistake I often see people make on the Brinly sleeve hitch garden plow. Setting it up the way shown here will make it possible to adjust the plowing depth in the field without needing tools.

It would be great if you could do a video on how to correctly align and set up a brinley plow with a garden tractor. I always struggle with my John Deere 318.

Huh never knew that. But i've only ever adjusted my plow once. Then haven't touched the adjustment in 4 years

My threads got stripped out. I thought it was from not locking the adjusting crank. But then, someone pulled so hard with it so the whole plow frame was bent

Where you get that extra piece on the top of the mouldboard that helps roll the soil ?

I made that one. I have seen guys use the ones for big plows. The newer ones are plastic and you can get them from farm equipment dealers.

How did the new plow work you had on the 882. We had trouble with setting our plows on the super cubs at pa plow day.

It worked great. I built it last fall and plowed with it in Ohio. I made a few minor adjustments to it for PA. I'm pretty happy with now. I may still put a bigger coulter on and maybe an extension on the moldboard.

Cat 0 plows can be a challenge. Most aftermarket top links are too long to get the point low enough. I may do a video about that later on.

Is setup different between 3 pt and sleeve hitch?

Yes. Only the sleeve hitch plows have this adjustment. On the 3 point plows the depth adjustment is done with the 3 point top link.
