Doing 2 hive removals on the same day is not normal for us at all, but we actually did it this time....and Good Time Charlie barley complained about lunch being late. It was a great day at an outstanding location, and on top of that, World Famous Mike Barry was there to help out. I hope you enjoy watching. God's peace to all. Mr. Ed

Delighted to hear you enjoyed watching the video, and I have to say, I think almost every one of the 600 plus videos I have made over the years contain a bit of that element in them. I sincerely hope you will check out a few more of them and find out for yourself if I am telling you the truth when I say that. And if the 600 isn't enough for you, I post a new video every Friday with the same energy and laughs in each one. Looking forward to hearing from you again very soon a some of them. Good morning Professor Fred, what an honor to have you stop by and leave your comment, I'm giddy with joy! 09:46 You know I'm going to give thanks for spotting and catching our queen. 11:12 You are the only guy I know who sees a piece of nasty old comb and thinks, "hey, I wonder what else is in here?" As far as a masonry hive, the bees would love it, not the beekeeper. Every time I open I hive now I am thinking what are the things that would grab Fred's attention, and very often the first thing I look at is the entrance of the hive. Bees are so smart! 23:10 Another grace from God, and a real looker as well. Hope our paths cross soon. Tell Annett hello for me, and God's peace brother. Mr. Ed

@18:12 Look at that heart pattern of brood or it could be the face of a bee, with diamond patterns near the bottom of the heart, like mandibles - What do you think??

Did those bees swarm outside of the column like that? Why would they be outside like that?
@JeffHorchoff
@JeffHorchoff Жыл бұрын
They were only "washboarding" on the outside of the column. Since the temperature was so hot, these bees were just hanging on the outside of the hive instead of on the inside. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. I’m going to try my first removal soon. In N Central MS. How long do you keep the bees in the vacuum b4 you get them into a hive body. It’s going to be an hour drive home once I get the bees. Not sure how long it will take either

I hope all goes well for you and the bees on your removal. I transfer the bees from the bee vac as soon as possible, the bees need to get back on comb to reduce stress. How do you's not get stung when grabbing the queen , removing the comb etc when the bees are crawling and flying around you??

Thanks for another great video. I have a couple of questions, how did you mix the Honey Bandit in,did you spray it on burlap? Also,do you prefer Honey Bandit over some of the orher ones Amazon carries?
@JeffHorchoff
@JeffHorchoff 11 ай бұрын
I simply sprayed the Honey Bandit around the inside edges of the bricks and allowed it to flow down. You have to be very careful using it in this fashion as it will kill bees. I have used several different types of repellants over the years, but for the smell and effectiveness, Honey Bandit is my choice. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. 0:14 That's a good name for him. 10:04 We were just talking, but because the video was in fast motion, even I don't know what we were talking about. 21:35 She was dragging a piece of trash that was tangled with the hairs on her rear legs. I put the comb in my mouth and chew the honey out of it, but I do not swallow the wax. On the video I will be posting this Friday, you will hear me say it once again. Thanks for watching.
