How to build a realistic, miniature, scale model diorama of Santorini Greece. I had so much fun capturing the Cycladic Architecture in 1/24 scale.

Check out Diorama Presepe for some Realistic Scenery Products: www.dioramapresepe.com/en/
In this tutorial DIY, I show you how to build an architectural scale model from foam core or foam board from scratch. I cover several techniques for creating the Ultimate, Ultra-Realistic Diorama. You can apply these techniques to anything you are making, such as dioramas, scale models, model railway scenery, wargaming terrain, warhammer 40k, dollhouse accessories, action figure displays, and much more!
I teach you several technical skills, such as how to cut through foam board, how to 3D print details for dioramas, such as miniature tables, chairs, windows, doors, flower pots, etc, how to create a realistic stucco texture for miniature scale models, how to use an airbrush for painting miniature details, how to make realistic scenery, how to make and paint realistic stone walkways using XPS Foam, how to make realistic miniature staircases, and much more!
My favorite technique that I learned was making realistic scale model flowers using 3D prints. It was tedious gluing each individual flower using super glue, but I was very happy with the results!

Lovely job! Had a neighbour who decorated the whole exterior of his house in the gorgeous white and blue Greek island aesthetic. Used to look at it in nostalgic admiration whenever I walked past - memories of idyllic Greek summer holidays. And then he sold it, and the new owners not only scrapped the colour scheme, they clad the building in fake stone. 😱😱😱

Gorgeous! The attention to detail is spectacular. Little side note, if you print those tables upside down you’d minimize overhangs and the required supports meaning less work for you. I’ve never seen someone 3d print flowers like that before either, the little printed details are just stellar!

Amazing work on this! Applying the grout between the stones was very satisfying, and gave a great result! Also appreciate the makers paradox being features, where no matter how accurately and precisely things are planned, modeled, printed, and cut, somehow there is always random gaps that appear! That stucco is amazing. I don't doubt the time that went into it for a second. I've only made a small fireplace with spackle covering it for a stucco like appearance and I was sure it was going to be the death of me 😅 Those flowers also are an amazing idea, they really do look leaps and bounds better than the foam ones. Seeing this finished out in the sun with the shadows casting naturally and the wind wiggling the plants... amazing work, truly.

You are amazing. ❤ I love Greek, I have family in Greece. They have beautiful white buildings that are built on top of each other with plants growing all over the place. I once went to Greece and everyone in the city was throwing tomatoes at each other. It was a giant food fight and fun. They celebrate holidays by painting their bodies like corpses and beautiful floral designs. They played beautiful music throughout the night and we danced and ate lots of food. People made food in their homes and their neighbors came to pick up food at their doors sharing meals with each other. It was a great experience.

Beautiful work. Thank you for explaining techniques you use. For a extreme beginner like me with no artistic experience it's a great help. For stucco texture I would just paint everything white or little off-white paint Mod Podge combo for base and then apply one layer of Mod Podge-Plaster for the actual texture.

Thank you very much, I’m glad the explanations are easy to understand! And yes that could also work for the stucco texture. Thanks for watching!

So beautiful work! I like so much because i love santoroni. I think you perfectly cappable of making a scale model of the ship oasis of the seas, at a giant scale 1/20?? Imagine the amount of details! But i think you can perfectly.

Extremely big, no doubt! Here is the james cameron titanic model for the 1997 movie kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n7yUi7th3bOXpGg.html. Is 1/20 scale model. Extremely big and a detailed model. Around 20 expert people working on it. Now imagine an oasis of the seas scale model at the same scale!

Amazing work! Great commentary and techniques! You really inspire me to start building some small dioramas! I am familiar with 3d printing and I love that you using it in your projects! A small tip is to remove the supports after applying heat with a hair dryer or not so powerful heat gun! ( hot water works too ) Thank you and greetings from Greece 🇬🇷 !

This is absolutely stunning. Are you interested in doing a video or two or three on how you model and print your own 3-D STL's? Is there someway that you can give us a show? For example you built a table or you built to your own trash cans, or you built those rocking chairs exact, etc. etc. all the windows and doors could you go into how you do that and what program you use
