In this clip, Smooth B opened up to Shirley Ju about his thoughts on PnB Rock’s passing, and news that came out about the teenager and his father being suspects in the situation. Smooth B explained that people don’t want to work or earn anything today, and he added that taking someone’s life over some jewelry isn’t worth the outcome. Smooth B then reacted to the teen’s father being the suspected getaway driver, and he pointed out that the entire story sounds “bizarre.” From there, Smooth B stated that he doesn’t go to the Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles that PnB Rock was at when he was targeted, and Smooth B explained that he never goes to that location. He then reacted to PnB Rock’s girlfriend posting their location, which Smooth B pointed out can be dangerous, regardless of if it being the reason PnB was targeted. Smooth B also pointed out that “anyone can get robbed anywhere, at any time,” and he added that he’ll never go into another neighborhood with expensive jewelry on. When Shirley brought up Lil TJay surviving a robbery in New Jersey, Smooth B admitted that he wasn’t familiar with the situation, but he added that Ludacris’ manager was arrested for an incident in Georgia. Smooth B stated that people can’t live in fear, but he added that the world today is “crazy,” and he went on to react to being asked about violence today versus his heyday.
Later in the clip, Smooth B shared his thoughts on the RICO case involving Young Thug, Gunna and their YSL associates. The New York native explained that lyrics from a hip hop record should not be taken too seriously because it's entertainment, much like an action film. He then explained how some rap pioneers used to be involved in gang and drug culture but they just didn't make music about it. From there, he gave his take on rappers nowadays and how they're talking about the crimes that they actually do on their records.
