The fact that people are still covering and discovering this song months after it released proves what we already know, a song's true impact isn't based on the trend it causes for five minutes, but it is felt and seen later, when it is still in the audience's mind no matter how much time has passed. Guilty may not have been a smash hit charts-wise but it is definitely ingrained in the public's consciousness, much like Taemin is, and for that it is iconic.

Someone like Taemin is VERY necessary in k-pop. Someone who uses his voice to communicate something deep and artistic, that touches people's hearts and awakens them in some way. He is that kind of artist. He doesn't make things easy for us. He invites us to investigate books, movies, other artists. He makes us curious

He is a great artist, he will make any genre his own, he may be on the verge of a foul, but he will never cross this line. Few people in the pop industry can do this at all.

You can really tell Taemin has a master degree in film and music. He said many times how closely he collaborates with MV directors and how he has a lot of input into the visual concept of his videos. And this MV is insanely cinematic and Taemin coded - dark and dramatic. I love it, just like I love the song!

Taemin is in a category all by myself. He's got zero competition. Just think back to the video "Juliette" and see how far he, as a performer has evolved. I just close my eyes and I levitate when he sings then he hit replay.

I love that he is brave enough to address dark themes that other singers are afraid to address. It shows he's not just a great singer and a best dancer in Kpop but that beautiful head of his carries a brilliant brain. I'm sure if he attended a normal school he could easily be top of the class and a class president as well.

He took greater than normal risks to produce this disturbing video, to say specific politically incorrect things that were mostly lost in translation (see explainer video TAEMIN GUILTY MV EXPLAINED). Most people just shy away from heavy topics. His key message may have cost him more than just uutube views. I do feel eventually the views will rise again once people catch on to his message. Watch the explainer video and you'll get a better sense of what is going on.

어드바이스 때도 처음에는 난해하고 이상하다 했는데, 두번 세번 듣다보면 홀린듯이 적응하게 되는 특이한 가수...남자 솔로 앨범 구매해본건 태민밖에 없는데 사놓은 앨범 후회없게 하는 가수네... 멜론으로 곡 구매해서 듣는게 편하긴 한데, 계속 앨범 내달라는 의미로 사야할 것 같음

I grew up on blues, R & B, soul, and gospel in the segregated American South. This music by Taemin feels like kinfolk, who found themselves in distant lands, though unto himself, is still a part of us. What is expressed here artistically, and lyrically, honors no boundaries---it is familiar and strange, and I need no English translation to understand. Movement is the ultimate expression of what cannot be said in words----what is here is not chorography, but the personification of the unspoken.

In a world filled with kpop idols who are trying so hard to appeal to the western market by making songs in english and american pop songs taemin just stands out with his uniqueness. I don't even have proper words to describe how incredible this is or how amazing Taemin is for this whole MV. Where to even begin!? I kept finding things over and over again to keep being in awe of whether it be the stunning choreo, the story, the FANTASTIC vocals!?!?! This coming from our maknae who once barely sang a couple lines per song in the beginning. I am so unbelievably proud of him. He just outdid himself!!!
