I doubt that if I traveled the world tenfold searching through smells, sounds, and sights that I could ever find a sense that brings me so wholly back to being a 17-year-old kid as the sound of that percussive, thin opening guitar riff.
@males11059 сағат бұрын
8 years on this song still holds its own. Love this song. The 17 year old in this video is now in her 20's and has come so far. Love her work. So many hours of entertainment. Can't wait to see her and the band in concert again.

And I don't know It just feels gross I don't think there's anything wrong I don't think there's anything wrong I don't think there's anything wrong I don't think there's anything wrong Sunlight on the back of my arms Just thins me out To a different time I wanna waste mine

@davlor862 жыл бұрын
I think she did a mistake with her new stuff tho, I just don’t like it, neither her new project or her, I’m gonna miss when she was more authentic and wrote real indie rock music, now she even has a stylist and prepares before taking an interview, like she is more calculated now instead of just being herself, it seems like she wants to become a conventional mainstream figure now or something 😒

Joel Rodriguez this song is actually a story. It's about how she struggled with bronchitis and it caused her to lose a ton of weight, go into a state of depression, and was in physical pain during it all from the weight loss. I guess if you didn't know the story behind the song then the lyrics and meaning must of flown over your head.

While the newer Snail Mail stuff is a little more hit-or-miss, this EP is near-perfect. I was lucky enough to catch her touring this album, the show was free. It wasn't long after that she blew up. I know people like her newer stuff, and Lush itself isn't bad. But it lost the rawness that helped make this EP so goddamn good. You can feel this album burning as it goes on. Dirt and Slug...I mean the whole EP is fuckin' stellar. Weird they added that "Prettiest girl in the room" track after the fact, because it really does not fit in at all and you can tell it was made way after the rest. I will say, Valentine and Ben Franklin are both excellent songs, but the rest of the newest album gets a pretty luke warm reaction from me. But this EP? 10/10.
