Jake thanks for not killing the snake, it really was a pretty snake, my Mom would of freaked out, I used to catch snakes all the time when I was a kid, just Garter snakes they were black with greenish yellow stripes, I never had a fear of snakes they are actually pretty cool, it might of been after a mouse, everything else would be to big for it to eat. It was there for a reason to catch something to eat like a mouse, even the ducklings are to big for it. Amazing job with the removal and Lissa just stepped right in and helped BRAVO

Yea I would never pick up a snake, especially where they live. I don’t know enough about snakes to identify them for what type and venomous and non venomous!

Jake & Lyssa, that is an Indian python, it looks just like giraffe skin. They are a very invasive species & are decimating the wildlife in the Everglades & will be moving once the food is all gone. There are hunters that are hunting the big ones, especially the females because they can hatch 50 + eggs. Imagine that on the farm eating your animals because the bigs ones can unhinge their jaws & eat chickens, ducks or even a pig, depending on its size. This one is probably just a baby, but you should've called someone before letting it go. Just trying to help out and help the environment in my little way
