The black tail periscoping and then climbing the tree??? What a cute personality 😍 In LOVE! Also the gorgeous milksnake was delightful 💕

I always love herping every once in a while...just last month we encountered a beautiful and friendly copperhead. I was just sitting on a stump and he slithered right onto my lap. He didn't mind being handled and was super calm as I moved him somewhere safer. It was an awesome day.

Of course! I am always careful and taking the proper precautions. All animals deserve respect and its always best to leave them alone when they don't want to be bothered.

I enjoy your videos, I live in a city and it makes me glad to know there are still wild creatures out there. Also the rattlesnake at around 11:20 just sticking its tongue out was funny

Growing up in SoCal I caught a ton of snakes in my time, and plenty of Western Diamondbacks. I'll tell you from experience, when you see a snake that is hanging his tongue out and not waving it - it's just hanging down, or up, you'd better look out cuz it's ready to nail you. Kinda wonder why this guy never mentions that point about snakes? ...well whatever, I love watching his videos!

Question about the Chi Hooknose Snake: Why do they fart so audibly? Is it strictly a kind of defense mechanism or a reaction to stress?

I look forward to your videos NKFherping. If you get more proficient with the GoPro I would definitively enjoy seeing how you guys safely handle venomous snakes when that is necessary. Is there a reason you don't show that other than safety? Keep up the great videos. You're definitely my favorite KZfaq herper.
@NKFherping3 жыл бұрын
The short answer is, more often than not, we just don’t handle them at all. But there will be some videos showing how we move them off the road coming soon. Appreciate the support!
@benwan51333 жыл бұрын
NKFherping That's great. I really appreciate how much respect you show the animals you're working with. You are a wonderful example of ethical herping and seem very conscientious about that. Keep it up man. I'll always be a fan.
