Unboxing Vivo's IQOO 12, a pro Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 smartphone boasting impressive gaming performance, excellent battery life and some respectable camera tech. This one week IQOO 12 review shows off the best bits, with gamers particularly well catered for - Genshin Impact runs a dream, and doesn't immediately drain that battery.
We're expecting a glut of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered phones in the run up to 2024, with Samsung's S24 series hitting in the new year too. But for now, Vivo's IQOO 12 shows us that this chipset is the real deal. While the camera tech isn't as impressive as some other flagships and we're not seeing the 8 Gen 3's full capabilities here, there's lots to love. Gaming is an absolute delight, helped by the fully featured game mode. And power efficiency is tops, as the IQOO 12 can last as long as any other phone.
That's all wrapped up in a rather slick, if slightly iPhone-esque chassis. You have BMW inspired design although it's rather subtle, plus a premium OLED phone display.

I just got this phone....it's really amazing....I love to customize it...but the only thing I hate is the white background when you scroll for apps....i use launcher to remove the white background

Thank you for remaining one of the only channels that started out making Android videos and stuck to that and not just rely on simping over the iPhone for views. This is a really interesting phone(one that will never come to Jamaica 🇯🇲) 😅 but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the SD 8gen3 in action on other mainstream devices.

I bought this online earlier today and can't wait for this! Wanted to get 1+12 but I can't live with the curved display and they are much more expensive in my country. Both are great phones without a doubt so thanks for reviewing them!

@@camotech1314 Been using it for a week now and I can say it's a great phone for the price. Smooth and snappy. Gaming felt insanely good. Maxed settings and still run like butter. Camera is impressive. For the price, it's pretty good. The only downside I can think of is the lesser number of years of update(3) and security(4) which is a bit of shame for a flagship model

IP64 on GSMArena written review and specs. 3 years of OS updates it says. Ships with Android 14 from November (Chinese variant) - so will get Android 17?? No mention of longer security.

3 years OS updates and 4 years patching on this one. It would be helpful see more of Funtouch to see how multi-window is. If there are a secure app features (like Samsung) or dual-messenger etc.

@@prodby2j the camera quality is actually pretty good i vidoe wise its pretty good and usable. Its not iphone quality of course but its. Damn near close. Picture wise well i think androids take better pictures in general now and im a apple head well was an apple head. You cant go wrong with high end flagship android phones rather thats from anyone. I watch a-lot of flossy carter and he gives great reviews on all phones android and iOS
