Unfortunately that's what MS is known for, namely to screw people! I remember when windows 11 was announced, and although it was no different to the 10, yet it wasn't backward compatible. People who had purchased/built/upgraded parts 1-2 years prior to Windows 11 launch couldn't upgrade to Windows 11!

You know how it works right? We have to wait to get the tech from aliens to reverse engineer it then the Elites get the tech before it gets in the hands of the general public. All we get is advertising and showcases until we're allowed to use any ground breaking tech. Transistors, fiber optics, microchips, and so on all went through this process and were all reverse engineered from alien tech

Pensé exactamente lo mismo. He sido fan de productores como Geekom que para mí son Tiny PC , ni siquiera Mini y me parecen bastante buenos fiables ya con lo actual y muy capaces, ahora con Snapdragon Elite creo que puede alcanzar otro nivel , sobre todo por el tema de que utilizan muchos menos Watts y en factores tan pequeños eso es Oro Puro, por la dificultad en refrigerar. Con este tipo de procesadores con ARM en el que ahora compiten las compañías se viene un futuro donde el.poder de un PC de mesa creo que podrá llevarse en el bolsillo en el futuro cercano. Igualmente están en esta etapa las GPU o APU integrados.

@@AgathaWhispers Apple did ok because they're a closed system and they're able to fully commit to moving to that architecture. Microsoft can't do that. The use cases people use Macs for cover far less than what people use Windows for and Windows has decades of x86/64 applications and executables that people still use and will forever want access to.

We will see that, if it's finally release. You know based on the price, most comparison probably will not against the cheapest basic M chip... because when you compare the 12 power cores with just 4 power cores, you easily can show good results. And they barely compare themself with even the M2 or M3 Pro (which still has less than 12 power cores) And the 40% extra battery life compared to x86 in Excel it's not even close to the 2-3x longer battery life for Macbooks.

@@laughtale1607TFLOPS measure theoretical compute, it doesn't reflect gaming performance, especially not between different architectures. The 7900 GRE has 46 TFLOPS of FP32, the 4070 Super only 35 TFLOPS but they're on par in gaming. The GRE has 92 TFLOPS of FP16 compute, the 4090 only 82 TFLOPS but the GRE is nowhere near the 4090 in gaming

The fact that there aren't comparisons to the M3 in every chart is pretty telling. I mean, I get the "we want to compare it to other Windows laptops" reasoning, but that's not really how people who care about performance figures shop for laptops. They're asking if they need to run x86 workloads natively, and if not, then they're looking for the best Arm ISA chip. Hopefully the Snapdragon X devices will be competitive in pricing, if not in performance.

In my company, we have two work laptop variants: 1) AMD G4 2) Qualcomm. Those who opted for Qualcomm variant enjoying 4x battery life compared to AMD variant. Even though AMD variant is more powerful on paper and has double the RAM, performance is same. Waiting to see Qualcomm based processors on consumer laptops.

3:17 to be fair, you're only faster in multicore because you have 4 more physical cores than the M3 (12 vs 8), you should compare it with something like the M3 pro that also has 12 cores, plus on a single core score the M3 is still winning, but hey, competition are good for customers, so keep that up

This is the first generation chip thats supposed to run on Windows on Arm. Those companies all are not aware of this yet. Once the products actually hit the market is when companies will start making programs for it because people will start demanding it from them by reaching out. It's all about demand

Yes you can... But don't expect great results. It's barely able to run games on 1080p at 30fps. It's an AI chip not a gaming one.

Yes. Chips iGPU is better than most but still limiting. The chip does also allow discrete GPUs so hopefully we get some later this year with X Elite & an RTX chip.

@@bihazards I'm afraid that's not gonna happen. Snapdragon & Microsoft are adamant on making this their proud moment. And Nvidia cards will still eat up power like crazy, devouring the best ability of these chips. "battery performance" So... Maybe next generation. But not this year.

The issue isnt with the chips. It is with Windows on ARM. Which runs like an emulated virtual machine. You can put an windows in an M3 machine and it will still chug

@@Skepsi_ but with the qualcomm you have the same problem, no x86 and instead apps need to be emulated like with the MacBook. And i just dont understand why he wants to swap the more powerful and more efficient chip for the qualcomm chip
