@Eddie D I try to wipe it down at least once a week because you can definitely see fingerprints a lot easier than you can on a gloss paint job but I just use a light degreaser and a microfiber rag

I thought you were going to say 8 months to get it. I ordered the stainless power top with light for my 72” master series. Ordered in August 2021 arrived march 2022. Well worth the wait though. Love the drawer light.

Box is kinda pointless unless you have the tools that make you the money I have very easily 60k between my box and tools im def a tool nerd Word of advice spend the money on ratchets(something about a nice ratchet) and cordless tools. Now think about what you like to do also I got all the snappy cordless shit they made for 4 years but I also like wood working Milwaukee has everything from a 110v adapter to a lawn mower specialty tools you don’t need to spend 600 to do a job you see 4 times a year my personal rule is if I borrow it 3 times I buy a cheap one if I break it i spend the money

Best bet is to get a used snap on. Off another tool truck. Got mine off a Cornwell truck for 1800 it was worth 6000 according to the snap on guy.

Save your money and buy one off someone selling private, just make sure its paid off before u buy. 3500$ got me a mint 68 epiq that was 2yr old with power draw, top, and hutch

I do disagree to a point. When someone is happy they are more efficient. When they have pride in their equipment and confidence in their ability they tend to be more effective. If you come into work everyday and that box just makes you smile and you’re proud of being the owner than regardless of the mood stepping in you’re morale will increase. That makes you more efficient/effective making you more profitable.

Actually, they do. They hold more tools. Techs with small roll around carts? Yeah, those are the guys who borrow tools they don't own.

the shop i work at is small. we have our boxes along one wall and work out of our carts mostly. my boss says the fancy snap on box is the last thing you buy. invest in the tools to make the money you will earn, then once you fill that husky out til it wont close.. then go bless yourself. trhey are tempting but i cant swallow that price tag or interest.. one day!

Plenty of other great tool boxes around which do pretty much the same thing for a whole lot less. Doesn’t have to be a Snap On.

@@djr3485 True. I'm in the U.K, and if you want a large toolbox, the only choices are Snap On and Mac ( particularly if you want a proper hutch instead of a top box). We do have one tool brand called Sealey which markets a couple of large boxes... I bought a 5ft and 6ft wide roll cab with topboxes from my local autoparts store..they were heavily discounted and coveniently keyed alike because they are the models that were used for the photography for the Sealey catalogue. Apart from a couple of minor dents and a few chipped corners they are in excellent condition and I did get them really cheap. They must be pre production models, because although externally they have Sealey logos, the lid of the 5 ft box reveals that it is a re- branded Montezuma. I don't wield a wrench every day to earn my living, so realistically I don't need an 84 inch Epiq and these two boxes should be tough enough for my needs.....but a man can dream, and that gloss black and atomic green livery just looks so stunning. I've just ordered a roll of vinyl wrap in that green colour, and im going to wrap some aluminium angle to.make corner protectors to hide most of the paint chips.....if it turns out O.K I'll do the drawer pulls to match.....kind of like my dream box, but much cheaper!

@@davidhull2060 Nothing wrong with Sealey, they make good quality products. Most boxes end up dinged and scratched anyway, especially if they are used in a real working environment. I'd rather spend the money on better and more useful tools. But hey, they do look pretty swanky!

I use to think the same way when I had a cheap box full of tools that fell apart. Found a awesome deal on a private sale Epiq , best choice I made. That box will out live me

The Icon is a good garage box or for the 10 year tech for the money and size. Once you accumulate the tools you need and want over the years then you get the nice Epiq for the last half of your career. The Icon only being 25" deep is a deal breaker for me. Also the fact that they are made in China or Taiwan means when you purchase one you are funding communists. I'll stick with my Epiq and add on as I need while supporting American workers

@@scientist100 I was talking boxes, not tools. But yes, a good portion of their lights and other electronics with the Snap-on brand are China and elsewhere. A bunch of their BluePoint hand tools are China and Taiwan to provide an entry level priced tool.

@@chrisdehn5492 For me, depth can be solved with add ons that don't cost a used car to get. While HF products might be made in China or Taiwan, HF in itself is an American company, and they do a lot of good (look up tools for schools). Also Taiwan isn't a communist nation, and tools made there are pretty good quality. I'm not saying what people should do, I'm just saying what I'd do with my money.

Who buys a Mac toolbox? If I didn't buy the Epiq I would've went with a 72 from rockin toolbox for the price and the old school look like the other tool truck boxs

68 epiq with speed draw sucks. Takes away from tool space since having the big power draw. Im looking to get rid of the speed draw, I hate it

@@kwmiked Industrial Maintenance isn't on flat rate. We are hourly. As long as you keep your equipment running, you have plenty of time. That is, we used to until the Rona made everyone quit working for a living. Now most of us are somewhat short-staffed.

With power draw and power top there is no need to tear apart a toolbox and add and hide wires to try and make it work

Go with gray white is too hard to keep clean and then you end up getting real ocd about it grey gides things better i spent hours cleaning my white box before i sold it because its just tied up too much of my day

@@addicted2tools yeah I been told that it a pain to keep clean. One of the reason Im thinking white is I work in a custom body shop building cars/trucks and the only thing I need to worry about is the dust. I currently working out of a Craftsman Professional with a side box and it's black lol. Thank you for your info!!

You must have never owned one. Going from a Macsimizer to my Epiq was night and day difference. 30" deep drawers vs 28" on the Mac is more of a difference than it sounds. 2" extra is a big deal, just ask your girlfriend/wife. The drawer latches are so much better than the stupid detent drawer slides on my old Mac that I warranties out twice in 10 years and were in need of it again. I thought the power drawer would be w a step space but it's much nicer keeping all my expensive batteries and lights secured while keeping the top of my box clutter free. I got my 68" Epiq for 6,500 and my dealer let me keep my Mac which I sold to my coworker for 2k. I'll take that deal over a $3,500 made in China Icon
