Regarding loosening the motor mount bolts, wouldn't it be easier to remove the four bolts that hold the friction drive wheel in place and remove it?? Once you remove those four bolts, remove the friction drive wheel, I would think there would be sufficient clearance to slip the new belt on? I haven't tried this myself, but it's just an idea I had.

What size belt does it take or what is the part number?

Owners & Parts manual tells you that, & you can get those by using the Model number that is on the Mower frame Serial plate
