Thank You Sir for taking the time to make these videos! I have learned a few things from watching them, and I have been trapping for 48 years! I love your down to Earth, no B.S. style of explaining things! If you find yourself in or around Ky. around the end of September, the United Trappers of KY. will be having their Fall meet in Glenco, KY. The dates are Sept 30-Oct 1st. 2022. Consider yourself invited, and welcome if you happen to be down this way! Thanks again!

is there a reason why you like 7x7 instead of 1x19 ? i have some 1x19 snares for beaver and seem to have a higher catch rate with them . great tip on positioning of snare lock to 10 o'clock make them fire faster .

Thanks Tim. I chewed Red Man for 45 years. But now its almost $15 a pkg here in iowa. So i go to Missouri and buy a carton of Stokers Red Supreme and a tub of Stokers long cut straight I have to switch back and forth through the day or ill chew 2 pkgs a day. Got a bit of a nicotine habit lol

Our hound hunters got the land sets down to 160s no snares except in the snow for fox and coyotes, and under water Beaver.

@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531 we had to rebuild our coon cubby boxes for 220s too. Absolutely dog proof. Funny part is this state has a leash law for dogs except hunters. So it our fellow sportsman. Or no-nothing beourocrats. Now, they allow us to use any of the conibears up in the trees, or 4 feet above ground. So that's a bit of progress. No we need how to videos of coon sets off the ground.

You can use the regular whammies if you like Dennis. I prefer the tubing myself. That way if i can't get #9 wire for support wire i can use 11 guage without hassle

No reason to use that heavy cable for the loop. We're trying to lower the snare damage from the loop by going with lighter cable.
