Pullman cars, with exception of the Sud Express type, were recognised by their oval windows at the car ends. The Pullman cars were made in series, so a list with types and CIWL numbers is easily made. There were 4 types of WP(c), in order of introduction:
• Sud Express: WP 2737-2742; WPc 2743-2748, 2839-2841
• Flèche d'Or (8 bays/windows): WPc 4001-4015, 4031-4040, 4051-4065, 4081-4085; WP 4016-4030, 4041-4050, 4066-4080, 4086-4090
• Etoile du Nord (9 bays/windows): WPc 4091-4110; WP 4111-4130
• Côte d’Azur (7 bays/windows): WPc 4131-4147; WP 4148-4164
Further: A small number of narrow gauge Pullman cars were made for the Golden Mountain Pullman Express.

Excellent. More please! Would be great to know which car is modelled by which mfg but I suspect that is relatively easy homework. Would also love to see typical formations with appropriate motive power. Thank you!

Prachtige video. Hier leren we echt enorm van. Zelf heb ik nog weel een vraag. Waarom werden de rijtuigen zo vroeg in de jaren 30 al geschilderd naar een grijs dak. Vanwege dat de daken vies konden worden of was hier een andere reden voor?

Inderdaad was de reden (volgens de boeken) dat de witte daken gauw vies werden, vooral natuurlijk vanwege de gebruikte stoomlocomotieven.

@@sncf231e I did read through your book and can only say: what a wonderful work !! I did notice that you didn't mention (or I missed it) some of the more recent Jouef releases (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g7pkapyI1My-dok.html) as well as the Star of Egypt by LS Models (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/octjirWSmbuoko0.html) and the Jouef cars in my most recent video. I assume that you do no have them in your collection?

Indeed only the cars I have in my collection are shown in the book. For the more recent Jouef releases: this are the same (or very similar) to the RivaRossi cars I have. And the older Jouef cars I do have, but in an older version with the old Jouef couplers. The Star of Egypt cars were not released by LS Models as far as I know as one car only, and I do not need three of the same cars.

@@sncf231e Thanks for getting back to me. I understand you regarding the newer releases, I have bought some older Rivarossi cars for the Fleche D'or and the most recent releases for the Train Bleu. I also have a couple of sets of the Jouef "Orient Express" trains, and just happened onto the even older ones from the 70ies. I have to check on the Star or Egypt set, but I think they are all different road-#s.
