Would you recommend a lower tier club to join the league so that not playing the big boys as you learn?

I'd recommend a mid-tier team in a league like the AAC, MWC, or C-USA to start with. The problem with the lower tiers is that it's hard to learn when you have lower prestige teams as the talent differential can be a lot to deal with.

Easiest way to join is through slack (sim-nation.slack.com) and DM darrenzen with the team you would like (or join the SNCFL channel there).
