Sneaking into Abandoned Resort In Maldives! We have recently sailed up, and dropped the anchor, right in front of this 5-star resort that was completely abandoned midway through its construction. Now these wobbly bungalows overlooking blue water are left to the likes of me, a curious sailor who wants to know what secrets they hold.
Hi, in case you don't know us, we are the Kiwi Boys. Two of three teenage brothers who are liveaboard sailors seeing the world. We've been living on the ocean for the past five years and are loving it!

The rebar, metal sticking out has cans for "safety" probably...They make special covers for those during construction because you cam get seriously injured if you were to fall.

Yes what a waste of some prime real-estate prime property in the Maldives. That $50,000,000 USD I take it, I doubt will ever be sold for that amount. All will have to be demolished first before rebuilding can continue. I think the resort that actually started the building of this abandoned resort should be responsible in the cleanup. You did say they have another resort still operating right. Really good video Declan looking forward to next and hope toe healed ASAP

I think the covers are supposed to protect you if you fall and get impaled! I can't imagine a coke bottle would do that but it does at least serve as a marker right? Interesting place! It is surprising that some buyer didnt come along and use the concrete as a starting point.

As you so rightly pointed out it's very sad because a lot of people lost money, investors ...and what about the people who constructed this resort I hate to think that they didn't get paid.

Declan what a cool footage you have obtained from such a empty island. I am sure it was fun to walk around the debris from what was left from the resort . i honestly havent seen both of you guys participate in a video. You two should collaborate in a good and smart project and make some of those amazing videos just like they make in HOllywood. With Declan editing skills and Ivans ideas for videos it would be a great combo for more incredible footage and narative of your lifes.
