In college my business professor had us dress up as professionals and just walk into places we normally wouldn'tfeel we belong. And then he had us do the same exact thing a week later but in regular clothes just to show us the power of appearance and how it can Completely change how people see and treat you. If you appear to be where you belong and dress accordingly people tend to just assume you belong there. Doesn't matter race or ethnicity it really comes down to how you carry yourself and how you're dressed in the vast majority of cases in public. Appearance matters way more than people think. The same person can have to completely different experiences in the same place simply based off of them dressing one way or dressing another. Put on a nice business suit one day and just notice how many people call you "sir"😂....then in sweat pants and T people start calling you bro or nothingat all. It's rly wild the power that our appearance has on our interactions with the world at large.
