Sneako's interpretation of what therapy is (but really isn't) is very media centered. He's constantly parroting inaccurate representations that you'd see in movies or tv. And when he's not doing that, he's trying to use the most statistical outliers he can think of to try and prove his point while completely ignoring the factual majority because it doesn't align with his beliefs. He did that with seatbelts! When he was debating Destiny about vaccines and he tried making the point that because a seatbelt could potentially trap you, they're not safe. Facts don't care about your feelings unless Sneako doesn't like the facts and feels the statistical anomalies better suit his narrative.

hey, teacher here. i've worked at three different schools, elementary to high school - none of them have "gender affirming care" or these magical rainbow rooms where kids can sit in. honestly, if a child brings up gender to me, i've been instructed to tell them to ask their doctor.

Interestingly, I remember my Highschool made efforts toward safe spaces and teachers who felt open to communicate with teens about some of their issues with classmates or themselves, that they could do so there. I don't believe that any teacher gave medical advice or guided kids through the kinds of issues that should be discussed with doctors, but more so functioned as an ear to listen to them and as a shoulder to cry on if needed. All this to say that the rainbow stickers on doors were a thing in my school, but never for the purposes that Sneako said they were for.

I’m so happy a redpiller finally talked to someone who knows what they are talking about. I’ve never seen this Dr. K before but it is very clear and apparent that he is trained and well educated in the field of psychology. He says all the things that I want to say and says it a lot better because of my lack of patience in some people. This is what happens when you converse with someone that is trained on being a therapist or psychiatrist. They are trained to not be argumentative. They are trained to ask questions and not show judgement. The best therapists don’t change you. The best therapists simply help you navigate your thoughts and what you want for yourself. If you rewatch this look how much Dr. K asks questions. And watch how engaged Sneako gets. This is truly Chef’s kiss.

Sneako, and other Red Pill clowns are so frustrating. They’re the same ones who turn around and whine about male suicide rates just so they can dunk on women and stake their claim as the ultimate victim. They don’t care about a man’s mental health. Suppressing your feelings only to work harder is what leads a lot of people to end it all. Shoving it down and moving on is a huge mistake. Just because men of old used to do it does NOT mean it was alright to do. In fact, just be stronger, work harder and get over it is what led me to a mental breakdown that completely changed my life. That’s the most poisonous thing you can tell yourself when you can instead reach out to a professional and get help. A lot of disorders form in our childhood and they manifest themselves in horrendous ways as adults. Unpacking them is hard but undoubtedly useful.

I cannot put in words how hurtful Sneakos mindset is to an average person. There are people who can work with that. Always being stoic, never showing emotions, never being bothered by stuff. But they are extremely, extremely rare (and probably have other mental issues that need adressing). Issue is that EVERYONE thinks they are the one that will be able to bottle their emotions forever and not blow up one day. And if Sneako keeps going like that, i fully expect him to pull a FouseyTube one day and go full schizo. I genuinely blame it on the way we guys were raised. You know, 'boys don't cry' and all that jazz. 'Emotions are a weakness' that is ingrained into us from young age. My hope is that as time goes on, and guys like us raise a generation of guys who know showing genuine emotions is good and healthy, that suicide rate will fall.
@bronxkies
@bronxkies 8 ай бұрын
@@bartoszkrawczyk5921 Absolutely! Couldn't agree more. It's a farce. There's only so long someone can go around bottling up their emotions and calling it strength before they implode. I think boys need to be raised to express and channel their emotions in just as many healthy ways as girls. They need to be taught how to adequately communicate with people and regulate their emotions, just like anybody else. People naively think it's "gay" to be able to do so but I see it as the epitome of strength and leadership to be able to clearly express what, how and why something hurt you and propose solutions to resolve it. There's nothing wrong with that and there are tons of ways men can do that without compromising their perception of masculinity.
@OdaSwifteye

There is a problem with men reaching out and getting their hand slapped away. Men's health problem doesn't begin or end with bottling it up or letting it all out. Ask Doctorrandomcam and he'll tell you.
@bronxkies
@bronxkies 8 ай бұрын
@@OdaSwifteye Sure, but I think men learn from an early age to stuff things down under the surface, so in a way, I do think it at least begins with learning that way of "coping" is acceptable. It's not right, but I think that's where it starts. It also can come from a myriad of traumas: sexual assault, molestation, bullying, disorders, neglect, the whole 9. It could come from people telling them from an early age that they shouldn't cry or that crying is "gay". It also depends on who you're turning to help for and what your concept of turning to someone looks like. If you ask other men who aren't trained on how to deal specifically with men's emotions and pleas for help, then sure. Trust, I confided some dark things to a friend thinking I was being vulnerable, and they threw me under the bus and turned their back on me. So, I know not everyone out there who you think is your friend or confidant is for you. I also know that not every professional you turn to, or every person you speak to on a crisis hotline will take you seriously. Around this time last year, I called the crisis hotline several times and can remember one person who seemed to care less while another time I called, the guy on the other end was attentive and empathetic. Sometimes we have to kiss a few frogs to find a prince, which means you might not come out the gate finding the best therapist for your situation but it doesn't mean there isn't one out there. Before my mental breakdown (which came as a result of PTSD and BPD) I was working with a therapist that I thought was okay, but they didn't provide much input. Afterwards, I saw them for a few weeks and then transitioned to another therapist who has been instrumental in helping me navigate and understand the origin of my symptoms.

I'm a Christian and I disagree with Sneakos idea of only prayer and no therapy. Therapy is useful because god isn't always direct and christians ourselves (or muslims and other religion) cannot lie and act like our deity does. You can have both prayer and therapy and it be useful. I've even known people do both and comment on how useful it is

Yeah I totally agree. When I was a conservative Christian my parents took me to a Christian therapist who made everything Christ-centered. He would tie my stories into the Bible and pray with me and for me, and encourage me to keep praying and talking to God and exploring my faith in a healthy way that benefits my mental health. It really worked and I couldn't be more grateful for him.

Hey @Papa Gut , I’m from Saudi Arabia - Where Mecca 🕋 is; and we do have different forms of therapy here. People do go to therapy here from all ages and backgrounds, Sneako does not have any idea what he’s talking about when he does talk about Mecca or Islam (I’m not a practicing Muslim myself, but I do believe in a higher power). Just got to 21:00 in this video, just wanted to mention that to you. A lot of people here are open minded towards therapy and it’s different forms that we have here in my country. Unfortunately , there are way to many people here (especially men) that think like Sneako, and it’s unfortunate. He’s fully grifting about the whole Islam religion thing, he’s just copying his daddy grifter Andrew Tate (and his brother I guess). Loved your reaction anyways. Keep going brother! You’re a good guy for real! 😎

Finding the right therapist can be legitimately life changing. I told my last therapist that it felt like everything was getting worse after I got sober, which was so discouraging and made me want to give up. Every negative emotion felt so intense all the time. He casually said, “Well, duh, you’re finally feeling feelings for the first time after numbing yourself with drugs and alcohol for a decade.” Everything made so much more sense, and it was so obvious in retrospect. Humans have blindspots, and that’s the goal of talk therapy - to find your blindspots. After that, I worked on learning to be at peace while letting myself feel those negative feelings. I’m in a wildly better place mentally and emotionally now.

Ah, a person who streams complaining about other people talking. There is an unbelievable amount of projection throughout this psychotherapeutic interview. And there is largely no meaningful argument against finding (and it often takes time) an effective psychotherapist. As an addict in recovery, with childhood sexual trauma, and multiple diagnoses (PTSD, anxiety, depression, and addiction disorder) in rehabs, psych institutions, jail, and therapy I have never had a doctor just bring shit up without any regard for the effect it would have on me. Counselors and therapists have helped me to pursue my PhD, get married, and have a child. And even those who I know that don't love therapy, don't love it for personal reasons. Global judgments about therapy are largely mindless and are often associated with dogmatism (religious groups and fascists stand out). *Also, martial arts helped a lot, but there is no way that it could supplement the work done in therapy. And having stopped using opiates and other hard drugs, I cannot watch porn anymore. If you have an addictive disorder, you might need to abstain.

Also, I hear this argument that ADHD is just a way to suppress boys' natural energy often but there's a difference between a boy having a lot of energy and a boy behaving compulsively with little regulation. Especially, when compared to boys of their age that are learning right next to them. I was an elementary school teacher for 6 years, a preschool teacher for 7, and now teach small group music classes for children. I studied special education in undergrad, and I'm neurodivergent myself. There is a marked difference between boys who just need to channel their energy and boys who appear to have a motor in them that controls them. You can have a classroom of kids where there are a few boys who might call out, or maybe they'll get up or something else, but then there's that one little boy who's always getting up, calling out, getting loud, putting their body on others, grinding their teeth, messy desk, wandering around, not paying attention, sloppily completing their work, if they complete it at all, or doing exceptionally well on certain tasks while not on others. There's a difference. There are all sorts of things that are hallmark ADHD symptoms that when you see and experience it, you immediately know who and what you're dealing with. It's not some left winged conspiracy on making boys effiminate and suppressing their natural zeal for life lol. This argument irks me so much. It's regressive, and in this youtube political space, decidedly polarizing.

I totally agree with your assessment of true ADHD. Too many people are like, "Lol, I'm ADHD so I didn't listen well, I'm special. xD" I was in special ed (school for mentally handicapped) for all of elementary school, until middle school when a teacher realized I wasn't mentally retarded. They saw I just needed a different form of schooling environment... I wouldn't say I'm neurodivergent. It's becoming trendy to use "neurodivergent" as a badge of honor to be accepted in today's tiktok society. But It waters down what neurodivergent is and makes it sound "nice". Neurodivergent is mental handicap. I've seen true neurodivergent, and if you have the life you say you've had then you aren't neurodivergent. Stop using that term.
@bronxkies
@bronxkies 8 ай бұрын
@@canbeone7277 agreed. The overuse of the term dramatically water things down to just being uwu quirky and it’s annoying. I struggled for years with inattentiveness, extreme emotional reactions, and procrastination. When I was teaching, I couldn’t understand why I was easily distracted while teaching, hyper-fixating or getting so thrown off by the slightest movement that I’d have a minor meltdown. Unfortunately, last night it all came to a head. I was diagnosed with BPD about a decade ago, but this was more than that but I couldn’t put my finger on it. After everything came to a head, I was additionally diagnosed with PTSD and ADHD. Now, with the diagnosis, I can start to better assess triggers and try to better navigate my way forward. I say I’m neurodivergent because it’s easier to use it as short hand in the comment section without sounding like folks on social media who like to list their diagnoses like some sort of badge lol. That’s cringe to me, but yeah. I wish as a kid I was in a different learning setting. The closest I got to that was when I was put in the “average to slow” class, as they called it. The teacher called me a “space cadet” 🙄.

@@canbeone7277 absolutely. I really dislike how much people think they know about actual mental health. Lack of attention is not always ADHD. It has requirements to be diagnosed. With the point of why not just go to the gym. The way i like to think about is say you had anger problems and going to the gym helps you vent it. That is one way to deal with it however, therapy could be the thing that makes you learn why you feel that anger in the first place and let you deal with the source.

Usually for people that want to analyse the benefits of religion to a persons view of the world or dealing with things, it would be useful (If you're an honest individual actually wanting to understand things not to reinforce your own opinions) to study the field of epistemology as related to metaphysics, because it's a really impossible task to define the metaphysical with physical tools. It's not really a tangible form of understanding things but thoughts aren't tangible and you know they're real. for most it's going to be a personal learning thing, so the way we can acknowledge someone's rough childhood for example and how that influenced their mental state and belief systems later on in life is very similar to how we can acknowledge that someone can have a very personal and deep religious experience that was real and happening to them, maybe not in a direct physical sense, but in a real enough way that it affects their way of seeing things and their belief systems. If sneako thinks prayer is better than therapy it can be, but he's very much mistaken to think its a political thing to choose therapy and that anyone can just start praying. It's a really personal act to be honest with yourself and what you consider to be the highest power within the universe, and not everybody is ready for that, their way of getting better is probably going to be in someone trained to unpack emotions in a productive way.
