This is it, the very last "Fire Pro Wrestling" game released on the Super Nintendo. It is an expanded and revised edition of the previous game with even more wrestler and the native ability to edit wrestler and make your own, with up to 50 moves from a list of over 700. Let that sink in while you remember the very lacklustre options for wrestling games we had in the 90's over in the West. I will go in fact and state this is one of my favourite over all game son the system and one that is always neglected when people talk about their top Super Nintendo games (yet understandable because it was unreleased over here). Enjoy a couple of matches, I won't spoil the roster but it does the meanest Wrestler ever to be made with this game's stuning Create a Wrestler mode.

I can't say all of that myself. I will say, there are some things other Pro-Wrestling video games could take from Fire-Pro and put into their games to make them better. And I love that NES Pro Wrestling is the Grandfather of this Series.

Me and my cousins discovered this from Vinesauce Joel because we were big into wrestling at the time. Then I found the ROM and it was the best goddamn wrestling game we ever played. Even if we made dumb characters and didn’t understand how to play it.

I remember playing the hell out of this game via an emulator back around 1997/8. It ran soooo slow. The normal intro still sounds fast-forwarded to me, since I was running at maybe 3 frames a second. Had plans to import a super famicom and buy the cartridge, even at inflated prices, because I was such a wrestling mark at the time. Plans fell through, but I do recall this game being orders of magnitude ahead of WWF Royal Rumble and Raw and whatnot of the time.

I had Roms for days in the late 90s and early 2000s. I’m so sad I never came across this game. Literally my first fire pro game is fire pro world. This game is way ahead of its time. It’s crazy how they never changed much, definitely didn’t need much changing other then graphics

None of us knew sadly. Only learned about this game when I already had a PS1. Felt super cheated with all the wrestling games we got in the West.

Look up "Burning Pro Wrestling" as well. Natsume also made soem awesoem games but only one of them made it to the west "Natsume Pro Wrestling".

That is such a sick and stacked roster. Eddie (Black Tiger), Benoit, Muta, Hogan, Flair, Animal even Ken Shamrock! My SNES still works, i need keep a look out for this game.

Love this video and love love love this classic game. I’ve been playing FPW World and FPW D on my iPhone to get my fix wherever I am (and posted a few videos of iphone gameplay). Amazing that you can play such amazing games on your phone.

Likewise, I discovered them several years after their original Super Famicom debut. It is so much better than anything we got in the west.

@@ShiryuGL Infinitely better. The LJN games were complete garbage, but I didn't know any better because it's all I had. The best games we got here back then were the two arcade games, WWF Wrestlefest and WWF Superstars. It's a shame they were never ported to consoles...not sure why. Pro Wrestling on the NES, although primitive by today's standards, is actually a really good game and relatively deep compared to other games of that era. The reason it stands out is because it was developed by Masato Masuda, who left Nintendo shortly after developing PW and and joined TRY, which later became Human. Masuda later worked on Human's popular Fire Pro Wrestling series. So PW is actually the spiritual prequel to the FPW series. You can tell by the grapple system, and the fact that you get punished for button mashing.

Where are the.shadows? I have this SFC cart, and there are supposed to be shadows under the wrestlers!

This video was made when youtube uploads had to fit in 100 megabytes and under 10 minutes. As such it was recorded at 30 FPS and the shadows in this game were contasntly blinking on and off. Sadly these off moments coincided with the recording so that is why there are no shadows in this video.

Push the button 1 time at the moment their grapples connect , start with weaker moves during early game then use bigger moves after you wear down the opponent cause his guard will be weaker against them

Yeah, kinda of. I usually guide myself when both wrestlers have their arms extended in the grapple. First to execute the move, wins. You need to use light strikes and throws until you do enough damage to use medium, then strong, then special. Once you learn the timing, it can be used into all entries of the series.

Though it's still possible for fpww deluxe to come to switch after the dlc has ran its course, but we'll just have to wait and see!

@@RON_FBG it's their game but all these wrestlers didn't give permission to just use their name and likeness for an unlimited time. You wanna sell or hand out the old school cartridges cool, but as soon as you upload it online that technically counts as a brand new version of that game. Here's an example GTA Vice City rereleased their 10th anniversary edition to all new consoles and android/os but MANY songs are missing cause their license expired.

You either have a bad dump of the game or you are using a very old emulator. This runs fine on snes9x, zsnes and of course bsnes.

These were all made by me, there are 24 CAW slots and a plethora of pre-made wrestlers of several organizations of the time. It was truly light years ahead of everything else released during that hardware generation.

Yes, it is one of the very first, most comprehensive CAW editors out there. I made all the wrestler on this video for instance.

Wait a sec. I have this game on Super Famicom and the characters are supposed to have shadows. Why don't they have shadows in this video?

+Joseph Holliday Almost certain it's because KZfaq converts the video to 30 FPS. If I remember correctly the shadows are blurs of black that are always flickering. I believe the shadows were in the frames lost in the video conversion. Happens in more games that I can accurately recall.
