The H&N SNIPER LIGHTS 22cal are very accurate, I use them in my Umarex gauntlet 22cal and also in my Gamo Urban pcp 22cal , acurate out to 40 to 60 yards to 80 depending on weather, I also use them for hunting rabbits and small game

Recently tried a tin of these with my Ultimate Sporter XS (32 ft/lb) on the range and they were very accurate. There was no wind on the day so I can't comment on that. I shot a rabbit at about 60 yds. Clean side head shot with a sizable exit wound but again in very light wind. Nice flat trajectory. Scope zero was 40 yds and about 1 Mil Dot holdover at 60 yds. However these pellets are very hard compared with the usual lead ones and some didn't seat easily in the Air Arms magazine although they did not appear damaged. Like a previous comment, I'm a bit concerned that they may damage the "O" ring in the magazine because the back ends are not smooth.

They are perfect for the WEIHRAUCH HW 50 (16 joules)! I'm talking about the 4.5 Pellets and rifle!

I tuned the barrel of my hatsan edge spring piston and it shoots these pellets very accurate at 75 yards, great thing is I zero my red dot with sniper light pellet at 50 yards and it is zero for H&N terminators and crosman hollow points from 10 to 35 yards, if I need to shoot from 40 to 70 yards I just switch to sniper lights without making crazy compensation coz im using a red dot sight with a 5x monocular.

Are these the same as the old promethius sn2 air bullets? I used to use them early 2000s in my hw95k and always liked them.

I have no idea. Not been shooting all that long.

the crimping on the skirts is to provide some flexibility to conform to the breach/barrels of different rifles,, i.e. for a snugger, more air tight fit
@airgunsandstuffyorkshire2696 жыл бұрын
woofman it seems to work well then 😉
@woofman47966 жыл бұрын
i confess, this is my best educated guess, i have looked at these pellets before and wondered why the skirts were crimped and the more i thought about it and read of other gun owners complaining about loose or tight pellets of various brands,, i surmised that this must be the case with these,, i may be wrong but i don't think so
@airgunsandstuffyorkshire2696 жыл бұрын
woofman It is a mad design and it makes for better groups. Perhaps when the air is blown into the skirt it fans out and fills the barrel better.
@woofman47966 жыл бұрын
that is what i'm thinking

Anyone know where to get them or if they are being made. All suppliers seem to be out of stock.

i use them as light and medium in my 177 springers ( LGU and Diana 48 ) and i am very pleased with both of them ...i prefer H&N pellets over JSB because i have the feeling that H&N are far more clean und consistent in the shape overall ....on a JSB Tin i allways got some pellets that are smashed or very dirty , never had this on H&N and my shooting skills are so good.........( bad) that i can not see a difference in accuracy JSB vs. H&N ....ecept if the head size differs to much my diana likes H&N FTT as well .........but only in 4.51 ...the LGU does not care and shoots almost with no difference of the head sizes . which i dont understand , maybe the design of the choke or the barrel crown ......who knows

Hi i beleive these were originally Promethious design pellets,the design was quite revolutionary with the style of skirt,i had some in a test pack several years ago in .177 out of my and some other club members AA400's were excellent, they were a small production pellet and because of this were more expensive , about £14.00 for a box of 500,so at the time a half to two thirds more expensive,but were excellent, there were two types,one for spring guns and one for pre charge,the difference was in the length/weight?and the skirt?there was also an enviromentaly freindly version. Cant remember the chaps name who designed AND manufactured them but he knew air guns inside out and had his premise in Highgate North London.the shop is still there today. When he retired the design for his pellets was sold to H & N which is the basis of several of there Sport Range. I think the Logan Penetrators were also his design?and there are one or two other designs of his out there under various names. He also designed and manufactured a beautifull western style under lever cocking Co2 rifle,again this became or still is sold by Parker Hale.,the canister was in the stock behind the butt plate, a design now copied by others but not of his quality! think Umarex? After all this i hope i am right with the info!!!!!!!!!! These pellets are giving almost one hole groups at 25yds from my elderley but smooth shooting HW77.
