I love Emma Stone's tribute to Gilda Radner. I read an old interview with Emma where she said that being on Saturday Night Live was one of her dreams when she was younger. She never got to be a cast member, but she did get to host the show multiple times, and during one monologue, she talked about how she used to watch SNL as a kid and how she loved Gilda Radner in particular. I feel like I know where she's coming from, because even though I'm not old enough to have seen her perform live on the show, I too fell in love with Gilda Radner from watching old episodes, and Roseanne Roseanndanna in particular has been a comfort to me in the past. So it warms my heart seeing Emma pay tribute to a performer who inspired her, with an iconic character who hasn't been forgotten, and getting to perform as said character in front of Jane Curtin no less, who used to serve as Roseanne Roseannadanna's "straight man." The only thing I don't like is that they cut the punchline! I'm sure the people from New Jersey could stand to endure a few jokes at their expense :P

@@lit22006 I’m sorry you take life so serious and you can’t find humor in comedy like normal ppl do with Saturday night live or the characters they play. I’d work on that. I won’t back peddle on my comment either. I thought the over weight lesbian was hilarious. I don’t normally reply to many comments but to know you have a “issue” and think something is inappropriate ain’t my problem to begin with… too many ppl worry themselves enough to comment on comedy and enjoying it shows you’re one of those ppl that get offended by anything and everything. I’m not here for that. I bet you have issues with Eddie Murphy dressing as an over weight man or Tyler Perry dressing as an older black woman. I don’t care if you have distaste for certain skits… I don’t care if you’re offended in any way shape or form. If you didn’t and don’t like it make your own post why comment on anyone that enjoys characters and comedy? Oh that’s right, cause you got a dry sense of humor that’s why.

They both fumbled a bit though. It must be hard concentrating on cue cards when the room is lit and packed with big-name celebrities. Emma should have maybe read some lines from hand-held notes. She'd still remain true to the character...

TheYanni75 I agree. Sometimes I fail to read my own thoughts right. The main thing is to do a job well and as that job is acting, they're brilliant at it, no doubt.
