I read once that John Belushi was on record saying that women can't be funny. Working with Gilda Radner should have shown him that that's not true.

Thought the same. The ending left the tone not of laughing at, but with the characters. There wasn't malice. The characters are total dorks but instantly likable and relatable.

Because some of the SNL alums said Lorne made it mandatory to read from the cards to get a better camera angle sometimes after the show started, he simply did not like the idea of ​​the actors facing each other and not the audience. I have to agree -- in this instance, it's really just two friends (who probably like each other) screwing with each other. This is a long running skit series, and these two characters are close. They have an understanding about physicality.
