Snorkeling ST. JOHN, USVI Salt Pond Bay - Amazing Eagle Ray and Turtle Encounters!

6 жыл бұрынSnorkeling at Salt Pond Bay in St. John, USVI. We didn't find much coral but saw a few turtles, a stingray, and an eagle ray. The wooded area behind the beach was covered in hermit crabs. The walk to the beach from the parking lot is about 10-20 minutes depending on ability. Video taken in August 2017.

You saw so many wonderful things underwater... The spotted eagle rays ah so beautiful. So lucky to get such a good view.

Little Birdie Travel St. John is definitely worth the visit. Some of the beaches are hard to get to (must have Jeep) but great offshore snorkeling everywhere!

+lisa Clemetson Thank you! All equipment we use is in our video descriptions. This particular video was shot with a GoPro Hero 5 a few years ago. GoPro technology has come a long way though since we filmed this video so if you check out our newer videos we used newer GoPros with better stabilization and a better editing program!

@@SandGravityAdventures oh! Not to worry. We snorkeled out to the rocks and saw a stingray and a bunch of fish. It was super clear on the south side of the island. The kids also saw two itty baby turtles 🐢❤️

Ocean Chan We saw several sea turtles in a few places we snorkeled in St. John. We did not see any when diving though. Thank you for checking out our channel! We'll be sure to checks yours out. We'll have more St. John videos in the next few days!

Yeh it seems like there are sea turtles everywhere, but I definitely would love to swim with one. they are very rare where I am in Sydney. Only a handful come down here in summer. Looking forward to more videos from you!
